About the Role
The Uber Ads team is looking for a Global Advertising Insights Lead to join our Measurement & Insights team! As the leader of the Advertising Insights team within Measurement & Insights, your primary role is to champion the power of the Uber advertising audience and platform to brand clients, agencies, and internal team members within Uber. You will partner with the broader Measurement & Insights and Audience Strategy team to develop insights and market intelligence programs that help drive growth for the business. You will facilitate cross-functional relationships with Uber Advertising Marketing, Operations, Product & Engineering to push data narratives, thought leadership and insights programs forward. This role reports into and will work in close collaboration with the Global Head of Measurement & Insights Strategy.
What You'll Do

  • Create commercial opportunities through new, existing proprietary and syndicated research, presenting compelling sales arguments that empower the sales team to drive commercial revenues.
  • Develop efficient processes and programs to respond to ad sales ad-hoc requests - to assist in proposals and campaign wrap reporting, and collaborating closely with colleagues globally on their insights and intelligence needs.
  • Conceptualize and deliver thought leadership research and insights by identifying key industry topics/issues and championing best-in-class and innovative methodologies
  • You will launch and coordinate tentpole Insights programs and projects from start-to-finish, deploying a range of methodologies - qualitative and quantitative
  • You will inform the go-to-market strategy for Uber Advertising products and offerings through market intelligence support - providing insights on the competitive landscape, product feasibility, customer personas and forecasted trends to inform and influence the product roadmap
  • You will source and lead all aspects of the relationships with 3rd party research suppliers - including managing the procurement process and budget for these resources

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in an advertising and/or marketing role, especially in Research, Consumer Insights, Audience Measurement or Audience Insights

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8-10 years marketing or advertising role
  • Experience and expertise using and integrating disparate datasets to drive thought leadership, strategy and business impact.
  • Ability to interpret data and recommend action on a variety of analyses.
  • Ability to dive into the analysis and data
  • Is a creative storyteller, especially using data and insights to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated experience of having led, motivated and developed a team of insights professionals
  • Proficient in the advertising and/or marketing data landscape, and have a foundational understanding of the advertising ecosystem to be able to credibly speak to and about audiences, platforms and media.
  • Foundational to proficient expertise using analytical and data science tools, i.e. SQL or Python.
  • Masters or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, Market Research or Analytics
  • Previous experience in a global capacity.
  • Previous public speaking experience on advertising related topics
  • Previous publishing or byline experience on a media or advertising insights topic

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $148,000 per year - $164,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $148,000 per year - $164,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
