We're looking for a global communications director who will own all of Dashlane’s strategic and product communications to key audiences globally. In particular, you will craft and amplify Dashlane corporate and brand narratives in a way that will resonate with businesses, their people and Dashlane associates. You are somebody who sees the big picture, and takes a creative and innovative approach to solve problems!

You will work closely with the leadership team to develop an overarching communications strategy for Dashlane. This will include the development of strategic messaging in support of the brand, key corporate announcements and product release campaigns. You will interact with business, tech, trade and consumer media outlets telling the story of how Dashlane is developing new and innovative products for its users in the privacy and password management ecosystem.  

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll lead, develop and drive the agency teams to achieve company, departmentteam and individual goals. You will be responsible for global strategic communications programs to advance Dashlane’s visibility and reputation as a market leader and innovator. You will harness your extensive experience combined with your relationships with business, technology, financial, and trade media to enable the team to capture the hearts and minds of journalists, reporters and influencers. 

Our ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative leader who can build brands and create share of voice in the market . They will not only be a strong marketer, but also a creative problem solver, who will use data and customer insights to develop customer-centric solutions that drive the business.

This role can be either in person in our New York office, or work remotely in the US (East Coast Hours) 

At Dashlane you will:

  • Own all aspects of strategic communications and PR programs that advances Dashlane’s visibility, market leadership, and brand positioning 
  • Manage and direct agencies, align budgets and drive efforts toward strategic priorities, programs and results. 
  • Identify, package, and proactively promote customer, brand, partner, product and corporate news and other stories that advance Dashlane’s business and brand  
  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with our target media and influencers, specifically business & technology press. 
  • Partner with key company executives and collaborators (e.g., marketing, product marketing, customer marketing, product & engineering, people operations, etc.) to drive creative storytelling, thought leadership and compelling executive platform 
  • Ensure integrated communications programs that use multi-channel delivery to engage audiences where they are.  
  • Research and integrate industry news, trends, and leverage data from Dashlane’s platform into PR programs; ensure that leadership is aware of short- and long-term challenges and opportunities.
  • Own measurement, reporting and continuous improvement of communications and PR programs, to positively impact brand awareness, share of voice, and other measures.  
  • Oversee world-class reputation management for the brand and key executives and crisis communications programs and responses.  
  • Oversee media training for spokespeople across the company to build thought provoking points of view that advance our narrative and increase our relevance to core audiences. 

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in Corporate Communications and/or Public Relations, preferably targeting small and medium size businesses. 

We're Also Looking For:

  • Proven Track record of driving strategic PR programs that deliver results, preferably both in-house and within an agency. 
  • Proven expert in successfully delivering category defining PR and communication programs
  • Strong writer and editor, with experience translating complex, sophisticated and technical concepts into compelling stories that resonate with the audience. 
  • Established relationships with key media contacts and influencers who cover enterprise software. 
  • Experience managing external global PR agencies to deliver results within budget. 
  • Experience forging trusted relationships with internal and external parties to uncover unique stories. Consistent track record of working with C-level executives, as well as stakeholders across multiple departments including Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance, and People.  
  • A strategic, goal-oriented, dot-connecting thinker with demonstrated success marrying past experiences with fresh thinking to deliver results 
  • You are a listener and learner, recognizing and consistently demonstrating curiosity in support of new, different, and evolving techniques across the spectrum of PR/Communications. 
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to lead directly and indirectly and through influence 
  • Experience working effectively in a heavily cross-functional, fast-paced environment
  • Highly effective communicator, who interacts with clarity and purpose, and who has experience interacting at all levels of the organization
  • Somebody with a high EQ, who understands the “what” but places equal value on “how” to get things done
  • Flexible, Positive, Proactive
  • Strong bias towards action
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide deliverables under tight deadlines
  • Passion for and experience marketing to small and medium-sized businesses

Our New York office is located in the Flatiron neighborhood, full of restaurants, bars, and shops. It's never hard for us to find a good lunch.
