THE ROLE
We’re looking for an innovative SEM Lead to run our paid search efforts across Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. You’ll be tasked with evolving and optimizing a crucial facet of the marketing mix at an incredibly exciting brand that’s changing the way people feed their pets.
In this role, you’ll work closely with teams across the business to implement a world-class paid search program that fuels customer growth while clearly cementing The Farmer’s Dog as an authoritative resource for pet health & wellness information.
We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience with direct-response search tools and a deep understanding of SEM who can partner with the greater acquisition team to meaningfully grow The Farmer's Dog's customer base.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be The Farmer’s Dog’s subject matter expert on all things SEM
- Launch, optimize and scale search programs - both via platform diversification and keyword expansion
- Work closely with brand, content, and fellow Growth Team members to efficiently increase search conversion volume
- Partner with in-house Tech & Engineering teams to implement landing page and site upgrades to improve the performance of paid search campaigns
- Manage our relationship with any and all relevant third-party search partners.
- Provide relevant insight and analysis of search-related metrics and trends.
REQUIREMENTS
- Want to work for a brand that’s working to make a positive impact on the world.
- Have a few years of experience in paid search, either in-house or at an agency (bonus points for experience with start ups or subscription models).
- Have a deep, meaningful understanding of SEM and the components of its success (or lack thereof)
- Love using data and performance marketing techniques to solve problems and drive efficiency at scale.
- Have a knack for developing or recognizing good content and copy.
- Are an expert in all things search reporting (Adwords, Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, etc.)
- Get bonus points for any SQL, HTML, or other relevant technical skills.
- Must play nicely with others (humans and dogs)
- Prefer dogs to other species.
