The role:

The Growth Marketing Manager will act as a true partner to our sales organization and play a critical role in accelerating Andela’s demand generation. This role isn’t just about generating top-of-funnel leads, although that’s a core KPI that the team is tasked with. You’ll also be responsible for designing programs that grow awareness in the market, improve pipeline velocity, and enhance our overall customer experience throughout the buyer journey.

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth company, is comfortable wearing many hats and doing more with less, and is familiar with all aspects of demand generation. You possess the “developer DNA” necessary to communicate Andela’s value to engineering leaders and hiring managers — whether through experience marketing to developers or an engineering background of your own. You’re excited by the notion of being incredibly hands-on, building in flight, and operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business development, sales, and product marketing to best communicate Andela’s value to engineers and technical hiring managers around the world
  • Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns across content marketing, email, SEO/SEM, paid ads, events and more
  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies to achieve marketing-sourced pipeline goals
  • Manage and develop content for nurture programs to accelerate the sales pipeline and penetrate target accounts
  • Develop sales assets, decks, and web copy in close partnership with Sales leadership
  • Partner with cross-functional teams for support on design, content, SEO, and social
  • Embrace data-driven marketing from planning to results, using data to inform your decisions

In the first 60 days you will:

  • Establish trust and credibility with the sales organization by hitting the ground running and demonstrating clear value up front.
  • Determine which assets need to be developed in order to best communicate both our brand and product positioning -- and start producing those assets.
  • Determine which channels and strategies to prioritize when it comes to effectively reaching developers and technical leaders.
  • Create a demand generation plan that supports 100% top of funnel growth quarter over quarter.

The challenge:

Despite the rising demand for technical talent, companies are still resorting to traditional tactics like job listings and recruiting agencies to find developers. We have to convince technical hiring managers that a full-time remote developer working in Africa can do the job just as well, if not better.
