Codecademy’s Growth Team is responsible for driving user & revenue growth for the company via iterative experimentation. Our team is a nimble, multi-functional group of engineers, designers, marketers, data analysts, and a product manager working together to improve on all aspects of our website. We try new things and we learn quickly from our mistakes. The team works to develop new user acquisition channels (Referrals, Podcasts, etc.), optimize our existing channels (e.g. SEO, Paid, Email), increase subscriber retention rates, and improve our checkout process using a product development process rooted in metrics.
We’re looking for a talented Growth Marketing Manager to incubate new marketing channels, launch experiments and work as a thought partner for our Growth Product Manager. This role will involve a combination of research, analysis and project management, and with a focus on helping Codecademy explore new marketing channels & new customer experiences in a data-driven way.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience at a hyper-growth startup, and are looking to leverage their learnings at the ground floor of a leading consumer tech company. You’ll help us identify the next most promising business ideas and marketing channels, then design, build, and shepherd them to fruition.
What You'll Do
- Drive marketing experiments from conception to development to success while determining what drives efficient, scalable growth
- Analyze marketing campaigns across channels using Google Analytics, Looker and SQL
- Lead Codecademy’s exploration of new growth channels (e.g. new paid ad channels, SEO, affiliates, social, etc.) and new conversion experiences (e.g. personalization, live chat, pricing pages, webinars, videos)
- Partner with Growth PM to monitor metrics, track KPIs, and take action on any trends you observe
What You Need
- 3+ years experience with growth marketing, digital marketing, marketing analytics or performance marketing
- A deep understanding of acquisition and lead generation strategies/tactics, campaign management, A/B testing, and analytics experience
- A Growth mentality; Product led, data driven, highly creative - ideally with prior experience at a hyper-growth technology startup
- Results oriented approach, with the need to be objective and measure performance
- Metrics driven - seek continuous improvement of marketing efforts to increase quality and productivity including the ability to bring strong analytical rigor to your decision making
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and be comfortable writing copy for use across marketing channels when necessary and have an understanding of how to effectively communicate with customers
- Excellent at collaborating cross-team to ensure projects you own launch on time and on budget. Experience handling stakeholders with diverse needs and perspectives
- Experience with Excel and SQL
