About Double

Double helps CEOs and their teams save time every day, by making it easy to work with a dedicated remote assistant: an actual human being, empowered by great tech. Our doubles manage calendars, book travel, handle admin projects, and help their clients get to the end of their todo list.

We started in April 2018 and have recently closed $6M+ in fundraising with top-tier VCs. Our private beta has been showing strong traction and we are now looking for an exceptional marketer to accelerate our growth.

About the role

Our current growth (x3 in the last 4 months) has mostly been based on referrals and word-of-mouth. We are now looking for our 1st marketing hire to define and execute our growth strategy to get us to the next level.

You will be starting from scratch to build Double's growth engine, with a lot of hands-on experimentation, directly side-by-side with the CEO.

Your responsabilities will include:

  • Design and implement scalable acquisition channels to grow our closed beta and meet our growth goals for 2020, including email marketing, content, paid, and more.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our service, audience, and our different buyer’s journey, including the biggest client pain points and blockers to acquisition.
  • Review our users' journey from discovery to signup to onboarding, identify weak links, and experiment to fix conversion.
  • Design and implement new strategies to optimize activation, retention, and virality.

About you

  • You are execution-driven and goal-oriented. You like to get projects in motion and test things out vs. over-strategizing. You like the challenge of reaching ambitious growth goals.
  • You like to experiment, are not afraid of testing things that might fail, and feel comfortable making mistakes you can then iterate on.
  • You are autonomous and a self-learner. As the 1st marketing hire on the team, you'll be starting from scratch to design and implement new initiatives to help us grow.
  • You are curious about the work of other team members, our users, and the industry in general, and feel comfortable challenging why and how we're doing things.
  • You are adaptable and don't mind having an evolving scope. You're more interested about fixing problems overall then on the channels to get there.
  • You have experience as an early marketing hire in a growing startup.

You will be reporting directly to Alice, our CEO and co-founder. You will also work in close contact with Sophie, our customer success manager, as well as the operations team to set growth target, and the product team to ensure consistent and effective communication across all channels.
