The Role

VICE is looking for an experienced B2C marketing leader with the ability and passion to drive large-scale customer acquisition and retention for VICE’s subscription offering. This Head of Consumer Marketing, VICE DTC will combine abilities in storytelling, analytics, and operations to design and lead a robust marketing organization for VICE.

Responsibilities

  • Devise and implement a successful customer acquisition & retention strategy
  • Act as core member of leadership team for VICE DTC
  • Integrate our product releases and partnership opportunities into a cohesive strategy
  • Work across departments to represent the consumer’s voice in all decisions made
  • Hire, mentor and lead a team of consumer marketing professionals
  • Build a close partnership with Technology teams to inform, support and define the product roadmap
  • Drive quantitative and qualitative customer insights, capture and interpret customer feedback
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in media and content marketing and the broader digital ecosystem
  • Create effective go-to-market plans considering value proposition, target audiences, competitive landscapes, and other factors by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to determine effective launch strategy and communications sequencing.
  • Create and measure KPIs that quantify performance of the offering in conjunction with overall company goals

Qualifications

  • Strong background and track record in developing and executing a customer acquisition and retention strategy
  • A dynamic, strong leader that can both establish a strategic vision and ensure operational excellence
  • Proven track record of developing and building and managing effective organizational structures
  • Experience as a key stakeholder or manager of product & engineering organizations
  • Deep understanding of consumer media & DTC landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Seamless ability to inspire and engage the company around this initiative
  • Ability to translate ambiguous concepts into action plans
  • Eager problem solver and thought leader
  • Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
  • Specific experience in consumer technology-driven brands a plus
  • Solid analytical ability, with a testing mindset
