About the Role

We’re looking for a Head of Brand & Content Marketing who is responsible for leading and executing marketing programs and campaigns that drive brand awareness for Howl. In this role, you’ll be developing our content strategy, creating and implementing innovative brand campaigns, and overseeing our day-to-day storytelling activities. You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will:

  • Develop and execute our overall content strategy to increase Howl’s brand awareness, education, and engagement
  • Oversee our marketing calendar, ensuring that all content is planned across tentpole moments and aligned with our brand guidelines
  • Create content that breaks through the noise: manage creation and execution of evergreen content and brand campaigns which enable us to share stories across multiple audiences
  • Manage freelance writers while partnering closely with our design team and creative agency to produce high-quality, original content for multiple channels including our website, blog, email, video, podcasts, and influencers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product marketing, PR, community, sales, and partnerships to identify opportunities for content creation and distribution; content is effectively integrated into all marketing initiatives and supports business goals
  • Understand channel best practices such as how to use keyword research to weave SEO into your content development process; you know how to design email content that drives engagement and serves our audience at different points in their journey
  • Report on the success and analyze performance to inform future content marketing initiatives, making data-driven decisions to continuously improve performance
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and customer insights to incorporate new ideas and best practices into our content strategy—enthusiastically embrace new channels and ways of creating and distributing content


We’re Excited About You Because:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 12+ years of experience in brand marketing, integrated marketing, content marketing, or content strategy; with a proven track record of developing and executing successful content
  • A passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of how to create content that connects with target audiences and drives business results
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Highly organized and detailed, whether you’re project managing or writing content
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • Experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to deal with ambiguity, flex between high-level strategy and deep execution, in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience in the technology, SaaS, creator platform industry preferred

The base salary range for this role is $183,000/yr - $223,000/yr USD.

At Howl, we offer a competitive compensation package inclusive of base salary, incentive pay and stock options. Incentive awards are allocated based on individual performance. Certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

Location

Our office was right in the center of Grand Central and very close to Bryant Park. But now we are operating fully remote!
