The Role:

DailyPay is seeking a Head of Corporate Communications in New York. This role will drive the development and implementation of a focused PR strategy to proactively communicate the agreed DP messages to targeted media. The role will manage PR Managers, external vendors and agencies, and will be directly responsible for the Corporate PR function. This is first and foremost a media relations role and you will be expected to be hands on, working day-to-day with your team to engage with local journalists explaining our products and services and bringing them to life through articles that showcase their benefits to consumers.

• Drive strategic PR initiatives to increase awareness for and demand for DailyPay products and services with companies and employees throughout the US
• Use your first-class knowledge of the media landscape to broaden and deepen our contacts with consumer lifestyle, technology, and business outlets 
• Spot the opportunities that arise from new publications, blogs, programs or journalists recommend how we can capitalize on them to maximize coverage taking up new posts
• Demonstrate ability to dive deep into our segment markets to identify new and creative ways to reach influencing media and share the DP story
• Organize briefings with key media, organize press events, effectively select target media for special events and individual PR opportunities 
• Oversee the planning and delivery of launch and momentum campaigns that meet growth objectives 
• Identify and escalate potential public issues that may impact DP; know when and how to respond to media inquiries 

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in PR - this may include roles in PR agencies, corporate PR departments, or as a journalist
• Experience working for or with high growth start-ups in a consumer and/or corporate PR capacity
• Team management experience 
• Experience with social media tools including blogs, podcasts, and Twitter and Facebook
• Extensive knowledge and network with media/journalists in trade and broadcast roles
• Highly collaborative with exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
