Job description

SimpliField is hiring a Head of Demand Generation working out of our NYC office.
In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the company’s CMO, you’ll lead the charge on building and expanding a world-class demand gen stack, collaborating with the sales teams and leadership to drive demand for a technology platform that retailers and field marketers genuinely love.

This is a hands-on role meant for those who love to experiment and iterate, and you’ll be empowered to try new and innovative methods of driving demand. You’ll be able to build out the technology, resources, and talent that you need to help us reach our growth goals. You’ll also be able to shape the long-term marketing strategy by becoming a go-to resource for marketing reporting and analytics.

Top things you’ll do

  • Direct and manage the demand gen process: you’ll create and manage inbound/outbound campaigns from soup to nuts—sourcing the right accounts; setting up, tracking, measuring and optimizing campaigns; buying media (on social and otherwise), etc.
  • Develop and execute ABM strategies: you’ll build account-based marketing plans for our top-tier prospects, leveraging a variety of marketing strategies that have worked for you in the past — ie, they’ve helped sales teams win and develop deep relationships with great clients.
  • Direct and manage events: you’ll lead event strategy and execution, both from an overall standpoint and directly related to sales/demand gen. Includes directing reps on where to go—and what to do when they go there—based on the nature of a given event, attendees, sponsors.
  • Forecast/analyze pipeline: you will be responsible for building and managing projections for MQL, SQL, SQO, and deals won; measure ROI on a range of marketing initiatives and update projections

Preferred experience

What we’re looking for

  • Around 5 years experience: this is a senior-level role for someone looking to help grow marketing and sales functions in a startup environment.
  • Sales Apps: very comfortable in Salesforce, Hubspot, Outreach, and major leads-data vendors (eg, ZoomInfo, LI Sales Navigator)
  • Collaboration: can work comfortably with a range of teams (from leading to implementing instructions from others)—sales, marketing, content, customer experience, etc.
  • Obsessive about details: you make sure that nothing slips. When something lands on your plate, you make sure that everything gets done. Nothing escapes your focus.
  • Extreme work-ethic: you don’t stop until the problem is put to bed, especially if the problem is challenging and forces you to grow.
  • Problem solver: you can’t help but identify problems and move aggressively to resolve them, often with creative solutions.
  • Polished and articulate communicator: You have no problem writing great emails that are short, effective, and easy to read. But if that doesn’t work, you pick up the phone and speak confidently with senior executives. All this while sounding like a real person.
  • Deeply empathetic: you can read people and know how to interact with them. You can figure out what is important to people and meet them where they are.
  • Coachable: you want to get better and crave feedback of all types.
