Smartrr is building a billing engine that allows businesses to serve subscription customers in a manner that is intuitive for both businesses and their customers.

It’s no accident that in spite of the recent explosion of interest, subscriptions are still an under-explored region of the eCommerce landscape. Subscription billing is fundamentally a challenging technical problem, largely because each subscription is a smart contract to be tended to and cared for rather than a single transaction to be used and forgotten. A relationship, rather than a fling. This extension of the transaction-point into transaction-line not only adds to the usual pressure of “Getting It Right” with other people’s money, but also opens up realms of features pertaining to up-sells, discounts, swaps, and other mechanisms by which to minimize customer frustration and increase retention.

 

About the Role:  

Smartrr is expanding quickly and we're looking for team members to join our revenue team! 

Smartrr is building a revolutionary product in the e-commerce space, and members of our revenue team will be acting as the face of the company as we go on this journey, selling to D-to-C shops in all verticals, as well as working directly with some of the country’s top agencies.

Smartrr is looking for a marketing leader! This role is responsible for our business-to-business marketing strategy including market solutions, demand generation and channel marketing initiatives that translate into increased market share. This position reports to the chief executive officer and is a key member of the company's leadership team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, support and grow our marketing team while collaborating across the organization to establish workflows and processes that scale

  • Lead the development and execution of our marketing strategy and go-to market efforts 

  • Organize and grow our team, guide them with a cohesive growth plan, and use a data informed mindset to help them drive results

  • Help the company engage with a broader audience and leverage it to keep growing at a high rate

  • Partner with sales to drive qualified prospective customers to the funnel and engage them with the right messaging. One of your team’s success measures will be driving leads that engage with Sales.

  • Partner with product to ensure proper communication and marketing around all product releases and updates

  • Manage and develop our brand guidelines 

  • Continuously measure and communicate success of B2B marketing approaches and programs

 

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing (experience in e-comm is a plus!)

  • Strong understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem, decision-makers and competitive landscape preferred

  • Proven success scaling a B2B marketing team in a high-growth environment

  • Deep experience designing and implementing marketing strategies and demand generation programs that have consistently contributed to meeting/exceeding revenue targets, including experience with ABM, CRM, list acquisition, marketing automation, events and RFP/RFIs

  • Experience leading new business initiatives cross-functionally, and presenting and selling ideas to varied audiences

  • Polished professional who leads by example, is team-oriented and self-motivated, and has strong ownership over their responsibilities

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a "get it done" attitude

  • Process oriented data driven sales professional
