Head of Marketing

This role is a foundational hire for Chainalysis. You’ll lead top-of-funnel efforts and contribute to everything growth-related. This includes devising both paid and earned-media campaigns, contributing to new product go-to-market strategies and leading a world-class team. You'll closely manage CAC, support revenue targets and devise cost-effective performance marketing plans.
As the Head of Marketing, you’ll work closely to ensure that our products’ messaging, value, and content is consistent across all touchpoints.
Aside from being able to handle these responsibilities, you have creativity, initiative, grace under pressure, and a sense of humor.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy: Obsess about our target market. Lead a team to build and optimize audience-specific marketing plans and budgets to support revenue objectives; Ensure consistent message, voice, and experience across customer segments and marketing touchpoints.
Campaign Management: Comfortable to press send on the next campaign. Create demand generation campaigns that deliver results in line with sales targets; Propel prospects through the buying journey from awareness to close, and then to expansion; Keep the team focused on priorities, maintaining momentum and meeting campaign deadlines and goals.
Analytics and Reporting: Speak in numbers, demonstrate in graphs. Evaluate and enhance marketing attribution strategies to deliver data-driven insights on the quality of campaigns and content.
Team Building: Develop existing talent and recruit for a fast-paced organization. Inspire and drive teams to reach optimum performance; Build capabilities and establish goals to deliver results quarter over quarter, year over year; Engage and support talent and career development; Hire and develop new talent as the organization scales.
Leadership: Serve as a critical partner and leader within and outside of Chainalysis. Encapsulate the brand and purpose of the company.
Collaboration: Build strong relationships and be accountable in front of groups across Marketing, Sales and Product to drive results.
To be successful, you have experience in the following areas:
At least 5 years of B2B customer acquisition, digital marketing and content strategy experience with new-to-market products.
At least 3 years management experience leading fast-growing, dynamic teams
Deep understanding of leading BI, marketing automation and CRM platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience at early or growth-stage startups
Experience at B2B SaaS businesses (Government-facing a plus)
