As our Head of Marketing, you will steward the Redesign Health brand from messaging and creative to the RedesignHealth.com website, and partner with each of Redesign’s portfolio companies to develop their go-to-market strategy and provide the resources and guidance to drive the high priority efforts during the early stages of the business.
You will report to and work with the Chief Operating Officer at our New York City headquarters.
What you'll do:
Redesign Platform
- Develop the appropriate internal resources and external agencies to deliver, in a high quality and timely manner, the marketing needs from concept to greenlight to the early launch of a new company.
- Ensure that time and budgets are managed closely and that these resources are able to scale efficiently as we grow
- Recruit and grow the world’s best marketers
- Create the playbooks, systems, and tools that enable the Platform to scale efficiently and to quickly share best practices across the Redesign family
- Scale the marketing efforts required for new concepts in the ideation pipeline, including but not limited to customer insights, unit economics analysis, and smoke testing, initial brand foundation, creative resources, etc
- Partner with key platforms (e.g., Facebook, Google) and publishers (e.g., online health news websites) to support Redesign’s transformation mission and that of its operating companies
- Implement, in partnership with the Head of Communications, a content marketing strategy for Redesign Health
Redesign Portfolio
- Build and drive the earliest phase of growth for each approved business
- Partner with the founding teams on the critical components of the greenlit concept’s brand foundation
- Develop the appropriate analytics and KPI approach for each operating company in partnership with the founding team, the Redesign strategy and finance team
- Secure Platform-wide agreements for tools as appropriate
- Continue to invest in, develop and deliver on best-in-class customer research to guide segmentation, targeting, messaging, and channel allocation
- Manage, guide, and develop internal and external creative resources to provide the appropriate, high-quality services to operating companies and founding teams
- Support founding teams in identifying, hiring, and managing marketing agencies and contract professionals best suited for their businesses; secure vendor discounts or Platform-wide agreements as appropriate
- Support founding teams in building out and recruiting best-in-class marketing teams for each phase of the business
What you'll need:
- Background
- 15+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, with proven success using all of the tools in the marketing mix from paid performance marketing and engagement strategies to brand building and customer research best practices
- Proven success developing and growing a company’s business and brand; ideally from early-stage startup to scale
- Proven success managing large, complex marketing campaigns and budgets in scaled organizations
- Deep understanding and experience with building forecasts, budgets, planning and P&Ls, with startup and scaled budgets and growth requirements
- Skills
- Demonstrable experience developing and executing go-to-market plans for b2b and direct to consumer platforms, including targeted paid advertising, online and offline events, and content marketing (white papers, case studies, and blogging etc.)
- Very comfortable with marketing analytics from consumer research to LTV/CAC ratios, and with owning/driving a P&L
