WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Team Overview: We’re looking for an outstanding communicator, collaborator, and project manager to help us build and run an Internal Communications function. Reporting to the VP of Communications, this person will serve as a strategic partner to our department heads to plan, develop, and execute internal communications that keep employees connected, informed, and engaged to the mission and values at Braze. The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller and creative problem solver with a knack for interpersonal skills who can see the big picture and make suggestions for how to improve our existing internal communications tools, processes, and channels.
- Responsibilities:
- Work closely with peers in Communications, as well as the People, Legal and Finance teams, cross-department stakeholders, and executives to establish a trusted voice within the organization, and facilitate streamlined and clear messaging to a distributed, global workforce.
- Identify opportunities to share key milestones, business updates, cross-functional projects, DEI programs, and People & Culture initiatives with the organization.
- Write and develop messaging around a variety of topics, including company-wide strategies/policies, announcements, All-Hands presentations, FAQs, and our internal knowledge base.
- Build and manage a global internal communications calendar that optimizes information distribution and employee engagement.
- Lead the development and strategy around new and existing communications channels, and ensure consistency of messages across all internal channels.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- 4-5 years of experience in building/executing internal communications programs for a global organization, ideally in the SaaS/tech industry.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage several projects at varying stages.
- Excellent verbal, writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to help stakeholders craft concise and compelling communications, tailored for the medium.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a track record of working with executives and cross-functional colleagues in Marketing, People, Legal, Finance, etc.
- A balance of know-how and creativity to take proven strategies you’ve used before and adapt them to fit our objectives, while brainstorming new ideas and approaches.
- Familiarity or experience with digital/video communication, as well as internal communications tools and technology like Slack, Confluence, intranets, etc.
