Lifecycle Marketing Coordinator
At Teachable, we’re on a mission to help professionals monetize their knowledge. We are committed to building thoughtful tools and resources that make it simple, profitable, and rewarding for entrepreneurs, creators, and business owners to start or scale a business through online courses and coaching products.
Teachable is hiring a Lifecycle Marketing Campaign Coordinator to help support large-scale marketing campaigns and experimentation that will convert leads into customers, help customers achieve success on our platform, and continuously test new strategies to improve key metrics. Your primary responsibilities will include campaign logistics, task management, research, task and timeline execution, and quality assurance. You’ll work alongside teams to create, test, and analyze email, website, and multi-channel campaigns and experiments to address the needs of prospects and customers at all stages of their lifecycle with Teachable.
The role:
You’ll be part of the marketing team, a fast-paced, highly cross-functional team that is constantly testing and innovating to tell the best possible story to our customers. Your work will support broadcast and evergreen campaigns and sitewide experimentation from ideation and scoping through execution, post-mortem analysis, and iteration. This role reports to the Head of Lifecycle Marketing.
This is an important position at Teachable, and a pivotal time in our company's growth. Teachable is growing, and our marketing team is hard at work trying exciting new strategies and projects to keep up with our customers' needs. Your project management expertise, attention to detail, and data-driven approach will help us scale our efforts, and our ideal candidate is a quick learner with an interest in developing their skills in lifecycle marketing, project management, and marketing experimentation.
What you’ll work on:
- Evergreen campaigns: Coordinate documentation, execute, and manage testing and iteration of automated (trigger-based) marketing flows for prospective and existing customers. Communication tools and channels include emails, web-based notifications, landing pages, webinars, and more.
- Broadcast campaigns: You’ll support execution of compelling campaigns that will make Teachable a no-brainer for leads and free users. You’ll partner closely with Lifecycle team members as well as copywriters, designers, and data analysts—just to name a few—and our big goal is driving leads to purchase paid Teachable subscriptions. (An example of a broadcast campaign might be our annual Black Friday promotion, or our virtual summits.)
- Sitewide experimentation: The Lifecycle team owns experimentation and conversion rate optimization of sitewide marketing materials. You’ll help manage and execute testing plans, report on findings, and iterate to continuously improve funnel performance.
- Research and Documentation: Research anything from current digital marketing trends, marketing tools, or customer testimonials to help strengthen our marketing efforts. Create and maintain campaign documentation to communicate core details to stakeholders across the company.
- Campaign and experiment execution: Hands-on involvement in a variety of campaign tasks including task followup, finding information, building surveys, and creating spreadsheets, tracking links, banners, pop-ups, and simple pages as needed. You’ll assist with production of assets like videos, webinars, and landing pages and more.
- Quality assurance: You’ll review and QA assets like emails, banners, pop ups, landing pages, webinars, and more. You’ll do proofreading, on-page UX testing, link checks, and follow up with team members to ensure bugs are fixed.
- Contractor and partner coordination: Manage communication with partners, contractors, and featured creators to support marketing projects. You’ll manage outreach and follow up regarding testimonials, contracts, NDAs, invoices, invoice approvals, contractor onboarding, etc.
- Reporting and analysis: Share updates on campaign or experiment performance with stakeholders, as needed. Partner with Lifecycle and Marketing Operations team members to analyze performance and prepare recommendations for the future. After all campaigns and experiments, you’ll help to compile reports and make recommendations about optimizations, future tests, and next steps.
About you:
- You have 2-3+ years of experience as a Lifecycle Marketer, Project Manager, Marketing Coordinator, Campaign Coordinator, or similar role.
- You’re a phenomenally organized person, and you’re skilled at managing projects end-to-end: brainstorming, planning, executing, managing tasks, QA, and tracking project success.
- You’re an exceptional project manager. You have experience scoping projects, outlining timelines, and holding people accountable to deadlines.
- You’re detail-oriented and don’t miss a beat. You’re very thorough and enjoy researching, collaborating, executing, and digging into data to evaluate results.
- You’re a self-starter. You think ahead about what needs to be done, and you don’t wait to be nudged to take action. You take the initiative to make sure nothing falls through the cracks
- You have knowledge of digital marketing, email marketing, content marketing, and/or social media marketing.
- You’re customer-focused and excited to learn about the needs and pain points of customers, and to help build data-driven solutions to help them succeed.
- You have experience with Asana, Trello, Basecamp, or other task management tools. And you were a power user with at least one tool of choice.
- You prefer making decisions based on data, and you have a proven track record owning campaigns and hitting targets. But you also value real human connections and see customers as people, not just numbers.
- You know how to pitch an effective A/B test, and you understand how to measure the results and interpret your findings.
- You’re a skilled writer, editor, and communicator, and you love connecting people and working across teams.
- You have a positive approach to challenges. You enjoy being strategic and solving problems, and you have a can-do “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
