Manager, Affiliate Marketing and Performance Partnerships
Overview
The Manager of Affiliate Marketing and Performance Partnerships will play a critical role in the strategy of the discovery+ affiliate program including new market launches and global program management. This role will own a key online acquisition channel for discovery+, and identify new and innovative ways to expand acquisition tactics.
Specific responsibilities will include owning the relationship with the affiliate marketing agency and platform partners, developing the affiliate marketing program strategy, analyzing data to identify opportunities to optimize the program, and supporting the Sr. Director, Audience Growth in ongoing management.
This is a highly collaborative role which will work across the global Discovery business and other Marketing functions, as well as external partners.
Our Team:
The Global Subscriber Acquisition (GSA) department acts as an internal global marketing team that handles the media strategy, buying, execution, and reporting of all media vehicles with the goal of driving multiplatform consumption of Discovery networks and subscriber growth for our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) products. We're growing our team of smart, hungry, and upbeat doers who crave the chance to build and support products with the global leader in real-life entertainment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive strategies across affiliate ecosystem to drive subscriber acquisition, conversion & efficiency
- Own the relationships with external publisher, platform and agency partners.
- Track program success and regularly analyze data and metrics to identify key opportunities to improve KPI performance, increase scale, and enhance efficiency of marketing spend to maintain acceptable CPAs within LTV metrics.
- Support research and business development efforts to identify and establish relationships with new affiliate partners
- Collaborate within the global subscriber acquisition team, cross-functional teams, key vendors, and agencies to support content, strategic growth, and acquisition priorities.
- Build global playbooks and internal processes, and establish regular communication and check-ins with cross-functional, regional, and product stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment.
- Support Sr. Director, Audience Growth in operational and tactical management of the channel as well as to mine new and innovative acquisition channels.
- Educate and advocate for affiliate programs within GSA and among partner teams.
- Work with regional counterparts to expand business initiatives globally.
Qualifications
- Passion for Discovery's portfolio of networks, programs and global brand.
- Experience in digital marketing including; preferably in an entertainment subscription-based business
- Knowledge of the affiliate space and how to optimize to drive performance across various affiliate models
- Highly analytical mindset with a deep understanding of acquisition funnel and performance-based marketing
- Strong partner or client management skills
- Passion for innovation, creative problem solving, and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Go-getter with proven track record of thriving in dynamic, fast-paced digital environments
