We're hiring a Brand Marketing Manager.

We're a small group of fast-moving, data-driven, and creative thinkers who nurture and grow our brand and community, while driving audience growth and engagement across all platforms. This Manager will be focused on elevating our brand and fueling growth through mission, campaigns, and messaging.
In 2022, we're gearing up to continue making an impact for millennial women and enabling them to live their smartest lives. We need a partner who will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and messaging across tentpoles, events, and partnerships. The ideal candidate will be equal parts strategic and creative, have industry intel and enthusiasm, be proactive and meticulously organized, and be willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
How you'll contribute to our mission
Tentpole Campaigns, Brand Moments and Product Launches
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns for theSkimm's tentpole initiatives, product launches and thought leadership moments in close collaboration with the Sales, Content, Product and Growth teams
- Ideate, create and initiate campaign concepts for both organic and BIS opportunities
- Spearhead the creation of campaign narratives and value propositions which are used to guide all campaign elements for tentpole campaigns, brand moments, and product launches
- Focus on target audiences and business goals, marrying thoughtful insights and campaign intent
- Lead the marketing communications process:
- Lead the team to develop language documents for campaigns
- Serve as the marketing POC for design and copywriting for campaigns
- Reviews and approvals
- Requests and prioritization
- Integration with the creative process
- Workflow to hit deadlines
Brand Partnerships
- Collaborate across teams to support, nurture and grow brand partnerships and relationships on behalf of theSkimm to align with our brand, audience, events and priority campaigns
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with agencies, vendors, and partners
- Maintain continuous communication with key internal stakeholders for cross-functional alignment
- Track and analyze key partnership, campaign and marketing metrics and performance in partnership with data, growth, content and social to ensure both campaigns and partnerships are successful

- 3-5 years of experience working on campaigns, partnerships
- Exceptional attention to detail and boundless creativity
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and project management skills
- Proven track record collaborating with goal-oriented and creative cross-functional team members
- Can adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines in a high-pressure environment
- Expertise and comfort working with sales, creative, edit, and experienced teams
- Experience in brand, marketing and/or campaigns, working in high volume, fast-paced environments
- A finger on the pulse of the industry, intel into the competitive landscape, emerging trends and marquee or influential brands
- Strong writing, messaging and copywriting skills with an ability to connect the dots from concept to go-to-market messaging
- Strong project management skills with experience executing marketing campaigns and product launches, in addition to exceptional o rganizational, budgetary, time management and reporting skills
- Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally
- Experience working with product and design teams

What about the office?
This is a full-time role based in New York, NY with flexibility for remote work. At this time, our office remains closed but it is our goal to open as soon as it can be done safely. We are continuing to closely monitor the state of COVID-19 in NYC and will provide updates to our employees as soon as we have them available.
We will require COVID-19 vaccinations for anyone coming to our office. We are following CDC recommendations and will also require additional boosters, and will always follow CDC and NY state guidance on wearing masks in the office.
