Position Overview: 

Rent the Runway is looking for a Manager, Community & Influencer Marketing to represent our brand with brand ambassadors and play a critical role in building and optimizing our brand ambassador relationships and community marketing. The main responsibility of the Manager, Community & Influencer Marketing is to help develop the Rent the Runway brand ambassador strategy, build a massive community of brand ambassadors both locally and nationally to represent and advocate our brand, and manage relationships as they are brought into the the RTR community.

The ideal candidate should have strong relationship-building and communication skills. You should also be creative, strategic and highly organized. You should have a strong understanding of the evolving digital media landscape as a means to drive awareness and conversion as well as a deep passion for the influencer and social media space.

Responsibilities:

  • Disproportionate Share Of Voice: Establish the brand and brand awareness by partnering with key influencers at all levels to spread the brand message.
  • Community Cultivation: Cultivate a digital community of brand ambassadors who will drive the conversation around clothing rental as a utility for women. Continue to build a pipeline of content creators and a foundation for a potential ambassador or referral program.
  • No Stone Unturned: Conduct ongoing research and recruitment to find new ambassadors and build a growing network for Rent the Runway.
  • Brand Voice: Guide our influencer partners to create content that converts and supports the goals of product launches, events, and other brand initiatives.
  • Strategy to execution to measurement: Create, implement, and oversee an influencer strategy and plan that aligns with Rent the Runway’s goals and measure the performance and impact of these partnerships on an ongoing basis.
  • Drive Awareness Across Channels: Create opportunities to engage with influencers and drive brand engagement through events, specialty product, or experiential. Partner cross functionally with internal teams to create influencer product and seeding materials.
  • Local and Global: Partner with our field and store teams to drive a bottoms up Brand Ambassador program in select local markets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience in an influencer marketing, media relations, and/or strategic partnerships role.
  • Community First: You are a community builder, both digitally and IRL. You are driven by creating a community and conversation around amazing brands. You are a party starter and being around people fuels you.
  • Hustle: You are driven by Rent the Runway’s mission and work tirelessly to identify the right influencers who can amplify our message.
  • Think strategically, act tactically: You set broader strategic goals, and are able to break down the tactical executions and steps that need to be taken in order to achieve the goals. You get it done and have fun while doing it.
  • Self-Starter: You have ownership over your domain, you are able to set a vision and drive process forward, you push the envelope to bring new ideas to life and challenge the status quo. You can build strategy and execute soup-to-nuts and think with an influencer first mentality.
  • No job to small or too big: You can manage everything from writing a creative influencer brief or leading an influencer trip to packaging an influencer mailing or printing out Fedex labels.
  • Comfortable with all social media platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills; must be personable yet persistent.
  • You are a learner - always seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around you.
  • Highly organized and a high level of attention to detail.
  • You thrive on direct, honest, and supportive communication.
