We are hiring a Customer Lifecycle Marketing Manager to help develop the 1stdibs customer journey with the goal of increasing activations, lifetime value, orders per customer, and brand advocacy. In this role, you’ll leverage multiple marketing channels including, but not limited to, email, push, direct mail, catalog, display, and paid social. Given the need to optimize multiple touchpoints throughout the customer experience, you’ll partner with many teams across the organization, including integrated marketing, sales, service, product, creative, engineering, and more.

In this role you will partner with our analytics and data science teams to identify “AHA moments” and the specific engagements to focus on that are most predictive of positive future engagements, ultimately developing a strategic plan to test and optimize each of these key metrics:

  • Activations of newly registered users
  • Repeat purchase rate of first time buyers
  • Re-activation rates of lapsed buyers
  • Share with a friend rates

We are setup on a customer data platform that will enable you to dynamically split test cohorts and push campaigns to various channels (email, facebook, display, search)

You’ll report into an experienced director of retention marketing, and you’ll manage a talented marketing associate, with additional support and collaboration from a marketing analyst. 

 

What you’ll do

  • Identify opportunities to A/B test active marketing campaigns, with the goal of optimizing activation, retention, orders per customer, and LTV
  • Contribute ideas for daily and automated B2C email campaigns, push, and direct mail campaigns based on customer browsing and shopping behavior
  • Work cross-functionally with integrated marketing, product, creative, engineering, and external vendors on key projects
  • Leverage internal and external data for segmentation, A/B testing, and personalization purposes
  • Analyze and share performance at the channel and campaign level with the goal of applying key learnings to future campaigns throughout the organization

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years marketing experience
  • Experience managing or mentoring others
  • Familiarity with lifecycle email strategy a requirement. Push, and/or direct mail experience a plus.
  • A desire to learn new things and make a difference at a growing company
  • Ability to multitask and balance multiple projects with lots of small moving parts
  • A love for getting the details right and staying organized
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience working in SimonData or other CRM tools preferred but not required.
