We are a fast-moving, analytically driven B2B marketing team. We show innovative companies how they can improve their applications and get to market faster. We do hundreds of events, thousands of marketing campaigns, research and evangelize ideas that move our industry forward, and more.
The Opportunity:
Datadog’s Event Marketing team is the secret sauce behind our premiere experiential marketing efforts. Managing over 200 sponsorship, community and field events, ranging from $2K-$3M, their work is truly the backbone of our lead gen engine - drawing in nearly 50+% of our new leads!
Datadog is looking for an experienced Event Marketing Manager to lead our North America based sponsorships team and expand our presence at numerous key industry events around the globe, (such as AWS re:Invent, Global AWS Summits, Google Cloud Events). Acting as the central hub of event marketing activity across multiple lines of business, this is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about event management who thrives taking on new challenges as they work to further build upon an already robust program.
You Will:
- Manage and grow a team while project managing global programs that will help grow the business
- Be responsible for the development, logistics, and management of Datadog’s sponsorship presence at tradeshows, user conferences, C-level meetings and corporate events both virtually and in-person
- Work collaboratively with all areas of marketing, brand design, engineering, sales, finance, and legal to develop and execute effective marketing programs at events to drive lead generation and thought leadership
- Establish priorities, manage timelines and budgets for multiple projects, ensuring appropriate and cost-effective use of resources
- Promote and utilize analytical methods to establish and evaluate all programs, track all results and report on ROI to leadership
You Are:
- Experienced in 5+ years of event marketing work with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experienced in 2+ years leading a team and passionate about coaching others
- Confident in your interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a cross-functional environment
- Extremely organized and strong at project management, agency/vendor management, and tactical execution skills
- Comfortable driving a process with multiple stakeholders and leading meetings
- A master multi-tasker, able to handle multiple projects at once and changing priorities or direction to overcome roadblocks and meet deadlines
- Strong in your analytical skills as well as in your ability to think and work both strategically and tactically
- Highly proficient in GoogleDocs, Excel, Marketo, Looker, Tableau and/or Metabase, and Salesforce.com
- Able to travel (~50%) when travel resumes
