The Job
The Manager, Marketing Programs is part of the Demand Generation team and drives the development and execution of multichannel outbound marketing programs in support of prospect engagement and new customer acquisition. The MPM is expected to creatively and continuously improve the way we do campaigns – navigating the balance between creativity, innovation and bottom-line focus. This role works very closely with our Performance marketing, Brand/Events and expansion markets teams.
The ideal candidate has a passion for understanding and speaking to the needs of our target market (SMBs) through compelling solution “stories”. In addition, he/she is able to combine those “soft skills” with strong critical thinking and qualitative analysis ability to scrutinize results, determine root causes and make timely, educated recommendations for maximizing results. This role will eventually manage a team of 2 program marketing specialists and an email automation specialist.
What you’ll do
- Develop integrated marketing programs that support the acquisition of new customers and drive revenue growth
- Create unique territory specific campaign strategies to support our expansion goals
- Build, test and scale customer referral, partner and competitor replacement programs
- Strong understanding of marketing automation tools, specifically Pardot
- Manage & improve reporting infrastructure and produce analytics for stakeholders on campaigns, leads and database health to enable the sales and marketing team to make data-driven decisions
- Effectively plan, execute, and measure high-impact traditional and experiential marketing programs (email campaigns and nurtures, direct mail, prospect webinars, etc) to meet or exceed SQA objectives
- Ensure prospect campaigns are tightly coordinated with our inbound, out-of-home and events strategies
- Manage multiple projects and campaigns at a time, ensuring clear and proactive communication and follow up with other departments and 3rd parties to meet deadlines and stay within budget
- Continuously monitor campaign activity and results and make proactive course-corrections to ensure that all initiatives are performing to expectations
- Stay current on product features, benefits and be able to communicate them clearly to the market.
- Ensure leads generated by programs are properly assigned and handed off into the pre/post-event lead qualification process
- Manage email automation specialist.
- Perform analysis for a variety of databases, mailing lists, customer lists, trade show lists and other information sources
About you
- 4-7 years’ experience in marketing communications, marketing programs, or product marketing with a technology company
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience
- Experience with email marketing and marketing automation systems (specifically Pardot) required
- Proven success crafting and executing comprehensive marketing programs that meet or exceed goals
- Strong project management, organization and time management skills are essential
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adept at building and maintaining strong cross-functional working relationships
- Strong analytical skills and experience in analyzing the effectiveness of marketing programs on key metrics (ROI, customer acquisition and retention, etc.)
- Hands-on experience using CRM systems (including list generation activities and direct mail), specifically Salesforce.com
- Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
