We’re looking to add a Web Analyst to oversee the ecosystem of behavioral event data generated by our site visitors. This role will be responsible for the integration of our Google Analytics/Tag Manager web analytics suite and management of all tags as well as GA 360 data. This role will involve close collaboration with the Product, Engineering and Marketing teams to ensure that we are capturing and properly architecting event data so we can accurately track our marketing channel traffic and acquisition funnels. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the output data from Google Analytics and transforming that data into a flexible and scalable system of tables and reports that analysts and other business stakeholders can use to generate insights into how users are interacting with our website and mobile app. You will analyze our GA data to monitor site traffic activity, optimize purchase funnel conversion, and identify other important trends. This role reports to the Business Intelligence Manager and sits on the Analytics team, but will frequently collaborate with stakeholders from the Product & Marketing organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Google Analytics 360 Suite
  • Be the primary owner of our Google Tag Manager system by being responsible for the creation, implementation and continued management of all tags
  • Maintain rigorous standards for proper implementation and instrumentation of tagging and data layer variables and troubleshoot any data integrity issues
  • Work with Analytics and Engineering stakeholders to design GA360 database model that makes data accessible and easily queryable for analysts and other stakeholders to derive critical business and product insight
  • Develop and continuously improve process and documentation around tags and derived table architecture that makes data understable and accessible across teams
  • Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders to ensure that we are adequately capturing and reporting on the most important events and metrics in the acquisition funnel
  • Work with Analysts and Marketing to create clear, visually compelling reports and dashboards in Google Analytics and BI tools that illuminate how users are engaging with our site and mobile app
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses into user engagement, behavior, and acquisition funnel

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience as an analyst or other data professional specializing in web, digital, mobile app, product, marketing, or similar
  • Strong expertise and institutional knowledge of Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager
  • Experience managing event data in Google Analytics a plus
  • Strong proficiency with SQL (Postgres preferred)
  • Basic regex a plus
  • Knowledge and/or experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker preferred)
  • Experience with reporting and visualization of path to purchase and acquisition funnels on web or app based sell experiences
  • Experience working with very large datasets a plus
  • Experience working with Optimizely a plus
  • Familiarity with Athena/S3 databases, BigQuery, and ETL pipelines a plus
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong business acumen; can consider higher-level business context and thinking while still approaching analytical problems with technical precision and data-mindedness
