The Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible for supporting both Zola’s Acquisition and CRM efforts. This role will focus on reporting, audience segmentation, campaign and ad hoc analyses.

This role requires a demonstrated record of excellent analytical rigor, driving actionable insights from quantitative and qualitative data and creative problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be familiar with targeted direct marketing principles in an ecommerce environment

Responsibilities:

  • Create, improve and maintain reports, data models, and dashboards for key stakeholders Includes setting appropriate KPIs and building infrastructure to automate or speed processes
  • Utilize historical data and ongoing analysis to provide data driven insights and inform strategic business decisions
  • Tie Acquisition and CRM KPIs to tell a holistic Zola user story
  • Manage Monthly Forecast process for Marketing
  • Partner with Marketing team to design and measure valid and impactful tests; share best practices and results with cross functional partners (e.g. Product, Growth teams)
  • Create audience communication strategy and target audiences for all tests and customer communications, including supporting campaign execution (e.g. uploading audiences, etc.)
  • Act as Looker power user and stakeholder with Data Warehouse team for Marketing
  • Liaise with external vendors and agencies to ingest new data and help structure testing
  • Assist team members with data gathering and crafting stories based on data

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of direct experience in statistics/analytics
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Economics or Finance preferred (advanced degree a plus)
  • High level of critical thinking with ability to synthesize data to drive actionable insights
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel required; experience with Looker and R (or comparable tools) a plus
  • Experience with statistical analysis, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing as well as regression analysis and probabilistic modeling
  • Proven ability to detect data integrity issues, perform root cause analysis and communicate the issues to cross functional audiences
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and through PPT / Excel
  • Solid team player who can collaborate cross-functionally as well as with outside vendors
  • Great attention to detail and strong mathematical skills
  • Naturally intellectually curious with an overall eagerness to learn in a fast-paced startup environment
