Job Description
We have an exciting new role to join the Division of Health Informatics (DHI) as a Marketing Application Analyst in the Interoperability Team. You will primarily focus on increased adoption of the MSKExchange tab within CIS (and the InterSystems HealthShare platform that feeds it) internally within MSK and externally with MSK’s shared care partners.
DHI focuses on the interaction of people, processes, and technology to support the exceptional patient care delivered at MSK. We handle a suite of clinical information systems including the electronic health record, ancillary systems and tools that enable decision support, health information exchange and knowledge management. Additionally, we bring these tools to bear to support important programs of care at MSK.
Within DHI, the Interoperability group connects MSK to the greater continuum of care with the goal of improving the quality of care MSK delivers through:
- Enabling and optimizing the sharing of relevant clinical information between MSK and a patient’s external providers of care in a secure way;
- Increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of strategic partnerships between MSK and other healthcare entities in order to better coordinate patient care and
- Leveraging clinical information sharing technologies to improve the efficiency of MSK-internal processes related to the administration of patient care.
In this role, you will help to advance informatics activities that are a part of innovative care delivery projects that will open the boundaries on how information systems can be used to advance oncology care.
What you'll be doing:
- Understanding the functionality, capability and use cases of the MSKExchange tab within CIS as well as the InterSystems Healthshare platform that feeds it.
- Contacting physicians, nurses, clinical staff, and external partners to educate and encourage usage to generate efficiencies and value add within a shared care environment workflow.
- Field questions, concerns, and support requests, then work with Analysts to address.
- Identifying user experience improvements.
Our Ideal Candidate...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Information Sciences/Systems, or equivalent
- 2+ years working with clinical information systems, preferably InterSystems HealthShare, in a multi-departmental healthcare environment
- Excellent customer service orientation, decision-making, networking, negotiating, troubleshooting, organizational, oral and written presentation and time management skills
- Knowledge of workflow processes and exposure to agile methodologies a plus
