Marketing Automation Specialist

Zearn is on a mission to ensure that all children love and learn math, and we’re looking for an analytical, data-driven marketer to optimize our email marketing programs in order to engage our community of educators and families. As the Marketing Automation Specialist you will be responsible for email best practices, customer segmentation, campaign setup, and analysis of our email programs.
- Develop, set-up, and launch email campaigns with a heavy emphasis on customer segmentation and contact strategy, technical set-up & execution in Marketo
- Query data from databases and execute an email campaign set-up using Marketo
- Identify customer segments, testing approach, and execute database queries/file loads
- Use customer analytics and engagement metrics to make recommendations and targeted campaigns
- Maintain an email calendar across teams so that we have a clear view of all customer and marketing communications
- Leverage UTMs, landing pages, forms, and other tools to ensure marketing communication engagement is captured and quantified
- Manage our email database and data processes to ensure good data hygiene within Marketo
- Guide Marketing, Design, Customer Success, and Sales colleagues to maximize email content, creative best practices, and personalization
- Support event-triggered email campaign development working with Customer Success and Engineering colleagues
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in email marketing campaign coordination/deployment, email best practices, customer segmentation, and database marketing
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Marketo
- Comfortable working with large data sets with the ability to query, modify, and join data from different sources
- Strong ability to manage processes and ensure quality control
- Proficient at analyzing results and creating and presenting reports in Google Slides, Google Sheets, Looker, or Excel
- Project management experience working with cross functional teams
- Thrive in a fast-paced changing environment
- Well-organized, high attention to detail, deadline-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoys working with others as part of a team
