THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced data analyst to partner with our marketing team.  Your insights and recommendations will directly impact our marketing campaigns across digital ad networks, offline marketing channels, and email.  You will work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for better decision-making and help drive the smart use of data throughout the organization.  As part of the broader Data team, you’ll work alongside other analytics engineers and analysts to help build a data-driven culture and ecosystem and Mack Weldon.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide insights into paid marketing channel trends to inform customer acquisition efforts by building and strengthening acquisition mix and spend planning, acquisition marketing performance and attribution, and onsite conversion optimization and A/B tests
  • Collaborate with CRM team on the creation, segmentation, and execution of email and SMS marketing campaigns that deliver against revenue-driving goals including CTR, open rates, incremental revenue lift, engagement, and retention
  • Help drive marketing strategy by combining acquisition and retention data to understand the factors that create the most customer lifetime value
  • Proactively identify key strategic questions and problems and offer productive solutions focused on long-term and scalable benefits
  • Partner on test design, attribution windows, and creative / audience effectiveness
  • Educate marketing partners on hypothesis building, effective testing / measurement, and generally support a data-driven culture throughout the business
  • Be the expert in and keeper of all Mack Weldon marketing data
  • Communicate complicated topics across the organization in a way that is friendly and accessible to a diverse audience

WHAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

  • 3+ years of experience as a data analyst at an ecommerce or SaaS company
  • Expert in SQL and database management
  • Required experience with data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau; web analytics tools like Google Analytics and Snowplow, ESP/CDP tools like Klaviyo, and A/B testing tools like Optimizely or Optimize.
  • Strong understanding of techniques to measure and optimize digital advertising, including Google Tag Manager and advertising pixels, conversion rate optimization (CRO), landing page optimization, and search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Knowledge of research / statistical methods such as regression, time series, cohort/segmentation
  • Experience with Snowflake, Github, dbt, Python, and R is a plus
  • Possess strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills with an emphasis on storytelling
  • Highly motivated to work autonomously, with strong organizational, and time management skills
