ABOUT THIS ROLE:

The Marketing Director is a critical position within our Coverpath team that combines the best of all worlds offering a unique opportunity to the strategic leader who equally enjoys leading the implementation of a plan as much as developing the creative idea itself. This role plays a vital role in helping others translate their work and ensure consistent and impactful communication between the divergent worlds of technical product development and field sales. The role will speak to someone who understands the value of an integrated marketing strategy and enjoys squeezing every ounce of impact out of even the most basic communication tactic.

This position reports directly to the head of Marketing Strategy with close alignment to the Head of Distribution Strategy and supports the entire Coverpath Distribution team. 


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead development, implementation, and overall delivery of integrated marketing plan, ensuring alignment with internal partners and MassMutual key business partners, where needed
  • Enhance and promote Coverpath brand in all aspects of integrated marketing strategy, including advertising, media relations, digital and social media marketing, event marketing, and other areas
  • Concept, develop and oversee implementation of Coverpath field events, including MassMutual-sponsored events and conferences
  • Collaborate with Coverpath Distribution Operations and external partners as needed to ensure marketing tactics are delivering on their objectives and optimize/adjust where needed
  • Lead the development of Coverpath broker and client use content and collateral to engage advisors and equip them with tools to take action.
  • Manage external vendor relationships and work with MassMutual Marketing and Distribution teams 
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager offering coaching and counsel to develop new collateral, concepts, communications, and programs
  • Seek regular input and feedback from Coverpath distribution team and partner with field leaders to build and drive field engagement and training strategy
  • Manage Coverpath digital marketing assets; monitor marketing trends to ensure relevancy/utility
  • Develop and monitor success metrics 


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ yrs financial services experience
  • Results-oriented, strategic thinker who thrives on seeing ideas become reality
  • An accountable and detail-oriented implementor who has the flexibility to adjust on-a-dime and incorporate fresh perspectives/approaches
  • Impactful visual and written communicator with diplomacy and ability to “speak field”
  • Ability to both “blue sky” a creative idea and follow up with project managing it to execution
  • Experience prioritizing against multiple objectives and communicating product roadmap
  • Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop; digital marketing and video production 
  • Deep understanding of advisor needs and sales process; ability to translate advisor needs and complex product development initiatives into outcomes.
  • Skilled at/successful at working virtually 
  • Experience prioritizing against multiple objectives and establishing detailed project/communication plans
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED:

  • Life insurance industry experience preferred

Location

We're located on Park Ave just south of Grand Central, a few short blocks to the Empire State Building and very close to a stone throw away from Korea town.
