Marketing Insights Associate

We’re looking for a Marketing Insights Associate to join Team Snapchat! As a member of the Consumer Insights and Strategy team, you will lead research to help uncover and spotlight the Snapchat Generation and support Global Business Moments. Working from our Los Angeles or New York office, in partnership with the Business Marketing, Sales, Communications and Product Marketing teams, you will design research for external partners including clients and press. You will support our Global Business Marketing team’s major initiatives, working cross-functionally to design multi-market research studies to develop unique narratives about the Snapchat community. You will also be responsible for keeping a pulse on the Snapchat community, identifying how they are responding to and shaping culture and trends.
What you’ll do:
Work closely with Brand Marketing, Global Business Marketing, Communications, Sales, Finance, and Data Science teams to refine marketing and messaging strategies for Snapchat
Gain a holistic understanding and appreciation for the consumer (needs, wants, and desires)
Unify research findings with first-party Snapchat data to tell a story about users’ attitudes and behaviors
Work across functions to apply expertise to propose well-grounded solutions (e.g. marketing, analytics, research vendors, study design, and key insights)
Scope and gather context from partners when planning new projects, evaluating traditional and non-traditional research methodologies
Ensure flawless execution of all research, mapping back to initial scope and internal partners’ business objectives
Design, write, and manage surveys with precision and attention to detail
Evaluate proposals from third-party research firms and build relationships with research partners
Develop compelling narratives to drive insights-led recommendations to the business teams
Analyze and interpret data to identify patterns and solutions
Create detailed, visually compelling reports in Google Slides and Keynote
Develop research-driven blog posts for our Insights Blog
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, manage ambiguity, work flawlessly under tight deadlines, and prioritize across several simultaneous projects
Exceptional attention to detail with a keen eye for presentation design and conveying granular data in a digestible way
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a team player attitude
A passion for Snapchat and creativity
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years market research or related experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a similar field
Preferred Qualifications:
Technology industry experience
Experience with trend-reporting and thought leadership
