The Role
We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team. This role will report to the Director of Content and will manage various marketing efforts including social media and campaign execution. You are an enthusiastic marketer with excellent writing skills who has a commitment to exceptional execution combined with the curiosity and creativity to push the envelope. You are a self-starter with the ability to build programs from scratch, are always looking at new challenges with a positive attitude, and have the skill to manage multiple projects and personalities successfully.
- Manage social channels including developing content, responding and participating on behalf of the brand.
- Ability to communicate effectively via writing for social, corporate blog, external emails, etc.
- Architect and project manage marketing campaigns and messaging to position Cockroach Labs as a differentiated company in the market, inclusive of marketing collateral, videos, website/newsletters, and other tactical projects.
- Build internal relationships with product, engineering, etc., and external relationships with the open-source community, industry leaders, and partners.
- Technically savvy with digital marketing tools, like WordPress, marketing automation solutions (Hubspot, Marketo, etc.) and Google Analytics.
In your first 30 days, you will learn the existing assets and marketing process for Cockroach Labs and work closely with the Director of Content to chart a course for improvements and consistency across all content. You will also be introduced to your creative resources, understanding their strengths and opportunities so you can leverage adequately.
The next 60 days will focus on taking your engagement from assessment mode to implementation mode. You will begin managing and monitoring social channels, developing a process and cadence for the blog content, and creating and executing marketing campaigns.
After 3 months, you'll be fully integrated into the team. While you will continue to deepen your understanding of CockroachDB, you will be setting and implementing priorities in coordination with the Director of Content and the marketing team.
