About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Marketing Manager with a unique blend of creative vision, marketing expertise and business sense who works cross-platform + across B2C and B2B audiences. The desired candidate will have robust project management experience, being able to work with different departments within the agency and has a network of preferred vendors for design, creative and video contacts. The Marketing Manager will be challenged to inspire and brainstorm fresh ideas, manage deliverables, and captivate the target market/audiences. They understand what people want and know how to provoke action.

Born out of the agency’s recent incredible growth, the Marketing Manager role will spearhead utilizing all of Hawkins International PR’s channels including, website, email marketing, social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and retargeting to bring our voice, agency differentiators and capabilities to new audiences through compelling content. The candidate has experience developing and managing marketing plans that support business objectives, generate leads, and fosters client retention.

Objectives of this role:

  • Develop  a marketing campaign that translate HIPR’s business objective across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies
  • Produce fresh, innovative output that translates complex ideas into dynamic print materials and digital experiences for a visually sophisticated audiences
  • This candidate will oversee all the HIPR social media channels (FB, Instagram, etc.) on a visual and voice level along with our in-house digital team for content curation
  • Prioritize work and resources across projects and initiatives based on long and short-term needs establishing production schedules by collaborating with teams and the VP, Social Media and the COO.
  • Spearhead and manage content strategy for small and large scale projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content and technology in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Analyze HIPR brand and how we can continue to differentiate our agency in the marketplace
  • Level-up the agency’s brand identity as HIPR continues to grow by executing peer-to-peer training sessions on design process, and style and voice guidelines for presentations.
  • To ensure Hawkins is continuously reaching new like-minded audiences with our brand story, you must be responsible for marketing initiatives for the Hawkins social media channels, best practices documents, webinars, conference/panel presentations. Specific duties include:
    • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website, newsletter and blog that attracts and converts our target groups.
    • Design webinars for prospective clients (along with exec team: facilitate third party vendors, develop materials as needed (including materials to advertise and market the webinar), and manage sign up requests.
    • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels – content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis, and much more.
    • Continuously look for opportunities to optimize marketing initiatives by sourcing new vendors such as copy writers, hosting platforms, email marketing platforms, etc.
    • Create a monthly storyboard for the Hawkins social media channels for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. Work in tandem with the PR team to ensure messages are integrated for pitches, trend roundups, conferences, etc.
    • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals.
    • Create best practices documents on new agency protocols as needed as well as on industry trends (one-sheeters for social media platforms, etc.)
  • To ensure success in your new role and integrate the branding offerings for clients, you will be responsible for agency and client education on your role and creative ideas through regular meetings.
  • Ensure all content distributed from Hawkins International channels is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, design, and tone, and is optimized for user experience.
  • Proactively research new tools and platforms to enhance internal workflows and agency capabilities. Foster and maintain personal relationships with these vendor contacts, as well as contacts in the design/video space. 
  • Report and measure effectiveness of all collateral campaigns, including engagement and business outcomes. Analyze campaign successes and adjust strategies in real-time, interpret new data, and keep up with the latest technology advances.  
  • Meet with team members and clients when needed, and consistently generate new ideas for brainstorms and campaign opportunities as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
  • Five years experience in marketing (digital and traditional) or audience engagement with a proven track record for developing creative, strategic solutions to grow audiences or market share.
  • Demonstrable marketing / brand management experience within a professional services, media, or public relations firm with a passion for travel, wellness and beauty industries.
  • Experience working with and communicating with senior management and cross functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task in a high intensity environment w/multiple competing priorities and drive complex projects to completion under tight deadlines
  • Outstanding program management skills; high level of efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills and an understanding of paid and organic social media, influencer engagement and media outreach and publicity is required.
  • Experience managing multiplatform campaigns, a working knowledge of web and social analytics and SEO, and a demonstrated ability to write for a variety of platforms, including social media, blogs and websites.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring new designs ‘to market’ from conception through execution
  • Demonstrated experience in brand design or developing and coordinating brand design strategy
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Superior knowledge of marketing value and tactics, traditional and social media trends, offering immediate practical skills for business advancement
  • Expert understanding of branding principles and practice; an impeccable eye for detail, color, and typography
  • Must have a strong sense of accountability; concerned about the details of a project as much as the overall design, and will ensure that each project is completed
  • Must have the ability to take design direction well with a positive attitude and a hunger for learning and growth, the ability to communicate design ideas/decisions to both designers and non-designers
  • A willingness to be hands on and able to flex easily between strategic thinking and tactical execution

Software Expertise

  • Design (required): InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch is a plus.
  • Video editing/animation experience a big plus (After Effects, Premiere)
  • Technical (required): Basic front-end development knowledge (CSS/HTML5), CMS, WordPress
  • Marketing: e-marketing platforms such as Constant Contact/MailChimp, LiveType, DVD Studio Pro, Keynote and PowerPoint, and basic knowledge of Google Enterprise software
