About the role

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Operations team – someone with experience across online and offline marketing & acquisition channels. In this role you’ll own all aspects of marketing for Hip’s service, so you should be comfortable moving between the high-level, strategic, and programmatic growth marketing to the ground-level, field, executional aspects like field marketing. You’ll need to be ready to get your hands dirty in the day-to-day operations, getting to know our users, and understanding how to grow our customer base. You will report directly to the VP of Operations, and play a pivotal role in developing brand, marketing, and growth strategies for Hip.

Field & offline marketing

  • Planning and implementation of field marketing programs to grow the Hip user base
  • Managing out of home advertising strategy and spend

Brand management & customer engagement

  • Managing Hip’s social media channels
  • Customer communications (email and/or social campaigns) to drive retention and engagement
  • Developing Hip’s brand voice across customer-facing channels

Growth marketing

  • Developing, managing and executing online marketing campaigns
  • Managing customer acquisition channels and programmatic spend, in partnership with HQ Growth team

About you
You’re a strong candidate with experience in most if not all of the following:

  • Online brand management and awareness, especially for real world products
  • Execution of offline user acquisition and marketing, through brand ambassador, affiliate marketing or other creative strategies
  • Developing and measuring business-oriented metrics for marketing efforts
  • CRM, support and customer communications tools, especially Mailchimp and Zendesk/Freshdesk
  • Optimizing Google AdWords, and other programmatic advertising and user acquisition channels

You’re an even better fit if you have:

  • Past experience in the tech / startup industry
  • Experience marketing transportation products
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Knowledge of the New Jersey suburbs of NYC
