About the Role

We're looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to join our marketing team to help ensure that our efforts run with extreme precision and ease.

You love structure, processes, data, and tooling. You don’t love it just because it’s cool (trust us, we believe it’s cool), you love it because of how it can help teams increase performance. As our Marketing Operations Manager, you’ll work within all of these areas while supporting our teams, quarterly projects and driving your projects from beginning to end.

You Will

• Oversee the end-to-end process for our email campaigns including nurture streams, audience lists, documentation, and reporting.
• Help develop and maintain consistent reporting (i.e., Google Analytics, BI tools, etc.) to provide our team with insights and direction.
• Work collaboratively with demand generation and sales operations to ensure data quality and flows are maintained within and between Hubspot, Salesforce and other tools.
• Improve and maintain lead management workflows.
• Manage the setup of webinars and ensure that systems are correctly passing through the information.
• Build and implement landing pages with CRO best practices.
• Research, evaluate, and implement tools and technology that will enable campaign innovation and improve performance.

The Expectations

In your first 30 days, you will assess where we're with our current marketing programs and where we need to be. We believe that it's essential for you to take this first month to become familiar with our technology and our company.

Over your next 60 days, you will develop new automated reports across channels to analyze our Marketing performance. You have built your first campaign automation and optimized workflows in our Marketing CRM for programs such as webinars and ebook or tracking of paid media and sales outbound campaigns.

After 3 months, you'll be fully integrated into the team. You will have a full picture of our data migration strategy between the marketing and sales funnels and will oversee and maintain this. You will manage a variety of technology, data, and integrated campaigns. Lastly, you will have documented and optimized our essential marketing programs, and you will continue to improve reporting for the team so that we can increase efficiencies and conversion rates.

You Have

• Fluency with marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot or similar).
• A passion for telling compelling stories using data.
• Experience with sales CRMs such as Salesforce.
• Strong knowledge about web analytics, WordPress and CRO tools.
• Strong understanding of sales and marketing funnels and enjoy collaborating with sales.
• Enjoy project management in a startup environment.
• 2+ years of marketing operations experience.

The Team

Reporting to Maria Toft - Director of Demand Generation

As a "left-brained" marketer with a passion for building things to last, joining Cockroach Labs as the Director of Demand Generation was a no-brainer. Maria is responsible for executing our multi-channel strategies (digital media, events, etc.) to drive prospect engagement and customer activation. Outside of work, you can find her walking her dogs, playing tennis, doing yoga, and exploring the beautiful nature in New York State.

Kurt Heinemann - Chief Marketing Officer

In the past, Kurt has worked with technologies that are further down the tech stack (AI and machine learning, security), but Cockroach allows him to market and work with a foundational element of a company’s modern business. The challenge for Kurt as CMO is to simplify the message of our dynamic, complex technology while also communicating the powerful capabilities we’ve built. Outside the office he hangs out with his family, pretending to be a gentleman farmer and trying to paint.
