The Role: 

The Marketing Operations Manager will play an integral part in scaling our Marketing organization through the management of the Marketing technology stack, oversight of marketing data-flow management, and optimization of marketing processes. You’ll work to ensure optimal data flow for a complete data set across our Marketing platforms that will support the automation in service of Marketing programs and initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Demand Management, you will work  cross-functionally to increase the efficacy of the data coming from and housed in the Marketing Technology stack for (1) increased Marketing program efficacy, (2) Marketing program personalization, and (3) data cleanliness accurate business reporting. You’ll also lead the charge in developing and improving our team’s processes to optimize efficiency and cross-functional workflow.

With 7+ years of experience in Marketing Operations and Marketing technology, you’re a Marketing Operations professional with a high degree of technical acumen, data focus, love for the details, and a passion for helping get things done as a team. You have demonstrated a deep technical knowledge of data, data management, and insights, and can translate and transform that data into actionable insights. You can skillfully identify and manage areas of operational improvement based on the needs and strategies of Corporate Marketing, Field Marketing, Demand Generation, Community Engagement, Product Marketing, and Marketing Data teams. You love puzzles and problem solving and are driven to find solutions, being creative where necessary to help the entire team make the largest impact on both the business and the lives of Newsela’s customers. You’re able to balance the priorities of 20+ Marketers and prioritize projects for maximum impact and support for the team. In addition to your marketing process expertise, you have 5+ years of experience with Salesforce and Marketo and 1+ years SQL experience. While not required, experience with Monday.com, Workato, Snowflake, and/or GitHub is a plus.
