Job Description
As a Marketing Operations Specialist you will report to the Global Head of Digital and Brand, working closely with the broader Marketing and Communications (M&C) team and our external vendors to help achieve organizational goals and exciting new growth initiatives for the company. You will be a vital part of the team that leads, strategizes, and supports strategic Marketing projects, campaigns, and programs that drive business results and advance the MarketAxess brand. Your analytics and process knowledge will be important in shaping future plans.
What You’ll Do
- Metrics strategy and reporting: You will review and publish web and marketing data, monitor analytics, and present recommendations for improved performance while closely tracking results, trends, competitor activity, and return on investment.
- Operations: You will work closely with the M&C team to build processes, maintain guidelines, and assist with project tracking and flow control at the department level. You will support the budget and invoicing process, and collaborate with other internal teams on day-to-day departmental requirements. You will present status updates, both regular and ad hoc.
- Digital technology: Supporting our technology needs is a key focus. You will help drive efforts to research and integrate 3rd party and internal tools for new and existing technology solutions—from evaluation to implementation and team training.
- Vendor management: Our external partners—both technology and creative agencies—are critical to our success. You will be a point of contact in managing those relationships, onboarding new vendors, tracking projects in play, problem solving, and managing flow/capacity issues as they arise.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience: 3+ years in marketing or communications related role. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Metrics maven: Tracking and analysis is a passion—you bring meaning to numbers and tend to see patterns and make connections where others don't.
- Project manager: Organization and process discipline comes second nature to you. You’re always looking for ways to improve productivity and impact.
- Excellent communicator: You can adapt your communication style to interact effectively with a wide variety of people of all levels, including external partners and vendors.
- Independent and resilient thinker: You work well, both on your own and with others. You are adept at managing through influence, and able to find resourceful solutions to challenges while maintaining excellent attention to detail. You thrive in an entrepreneurial, face-paced frontier.
- Skilled creator: Solid Word and PowerPoint skills, and working knowledge of Adobe Suite, are preferred—as are web/digital skills. Being a strong writer and/or having an eye for design is a plus. Transferrable skills and trainability as considered as well.
