About the Job

DoorDash’s Partnership Marketing team is seeking a performance driven Marketing as a Service Media Manager who will be responsible for driving merchant growth across paid media channels for drive dispatch merchants. As a seasoned paid media expert and campaign manager, they will be hands-on in the planning, development, and executing media buys and owned marketing tactics. This role must deliver against aggressive business goals which include managing investment efficiency.

Both analytical and organized, the ideal candidate must be able to execute all phases of a paid media campaign, from creative development to reporting. Understand performance data while deriving actionable insights that will help optimize paid media strategies. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and can roll up their sleeves to build and actually launch campaigns from various platforms (emphasis on Facebook, Instagram, Google Adwords and programmatic display).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage paid media strategies and campaign execution for drive delivery merchants to increase delivery orders fulfilled by DoorDash direct through a merchants own website. 
  • Manage DoorDash’s media buying vendor relationships and oversee campaign project management directly with them while also working hand in hand with the merchants.
  • Consult with Drive merchants on how to improve delivery advertising and marketing via their owned and paid marketing that DoorDash does not directly own.
  • Execute multiple campaigns at once while being highly organized and following a detailed list of next steps. Number of campaigns running at one time can exceed 30+ all with unique media plans, creative, delivery goals, etc. 
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams such as Analytics, Data Science, and Growth to drive standard methodologies, identify testing opportunities, and develop roadmaps.
  • Lead campaign launches, optimization, and reporting inclusive of creative, campaign setup, audience targeting, and budget management.
  • Nimbly lead and measure performance across an evergreen portfolio of paid channels, but execute ad hoc strategic campaigns with separate goals and budgets as the landscape shifts.
  • Oversee paid search, affiliate/content syndication, paid social and programmatic display with the goal of driving cost-effective, high quality delivery orders.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies to improve KPIs including creative/copy testing, audience segmentation, ad placements, and retargeting strategy to maximize full-funnel performance.
  • Work through automation, tagging, and data integrity issues with cross functional partners in Product, Engineering, and Analytics as needed. 
  • Build out tracking and reporting to monitor and optimize performance.
  • Work with marketing agencies to drive day-to-day tactics and strategy
  • Work closely with other channel managers to share findings and align potential tests/experiments across channels and regions

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of direct, hands-on experience managing paid media (search, display, social), either at an agency or in-house. 
  • Additional experience in managing other marketing channels such as Email, OOH, TV, and/or Radio is a plus
  • Direct experience managing client relationships and problem solving media specific hurdles
  • Experience using online advertising solutions such as Google Adwords, Facebook Ad Manager, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Deep familiarity with all digital marketing metrics including CPL, CPA, CPC, and CPM
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with an impeccable eye for detail
  • Strong Excel skills with experience building pivot tables, multi-function formulas and graphs
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Ability to deep dive into campaigns and optimize in real time
  • Ad trafficking experience and understanding of pixel placing and tracking
  • Superb written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a broad spectrum of both internal team members and external vendors/partners
