The role

Podcast and radio partnerships are a growing part of TransferWise’s growth. In fact, they’re the fastest-growing part of our marketing operations.

We’re looking for a media planner to help us grow this channel. Your primary responsibility will be to develop a strategy for growing our podcast and radio sponsorship program – across the US initially, but with a longer term view to how we take our coverage to a global audience.

You’ll be the person spreading the word about TransferWise through the airwaves to help save people money, time and hassle.

The key responsibilities:

  • Optimize our existing sponsorship program by identifying where we can make smart gains in our creatives and campaign planning
  • Identify our key target audiences – and the best way how to reach them
  • Curate our creative! You will work with our copy team to tailor the TransferWise message so that we’re speaking to the right audiences in the way that’s right for them to learn about us
  • Experiment with new platforms – we’ve just scratched the surface of what we can do with audio advertising
  • Create a plan for TransferWise to invest in non-English language radio and podcast shows
  • Analyze how shows are performing to ensure our advertising program is running sustainably
  • Improve our ability to track, measure and understand the impact of our advertising plan.

Skills or knowledge that’ll help you succeed in this role:

  • A love of all things radio and podcasts. You know what people are listening to!
  • You know the audio industry and how to get the right media plan
  • You’ve got an analytical approach – you are able to dig into the numbers and work out what’s working and what needs changing
  • You are a self-starter and you’re proactive when it comes to identifying problems, finding solutions and communicating that to the team.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Choose your own path to success - you’ll have the freedom to define the vision and the responsibility for making it happen
  • Set the plan and own it: You will be setting the plan, figuring out what works and reporting that work back to the company.
  • Be flexible in how and where you work - we understand everyone needs a little something different so we’ll do our best to make it happen
