Job Description Communications and Marketing Associate
This individual will provide support for the Media Relations and Marketing functions within CIB Marketing & Communications, working with senior executives across J.P. Morgan Research & Sales, ESG, Human Resources and Diversity & Inclusion. This individual will provide media relations and operational support for the team globally with a focus on the Americas and Latin America in addition to ESG Marketing efforts.
Primary responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a holistic communications strategy and program that aligns with business goals
  • Build relationships and partner with business leaders to understand and anticipate communications needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key members of the press; create and maintain media lists
  • Support senior executives in the planning and execution of events/calls
  • Proactively pitch and manage communications projects that further the firms reputation (e.g., key announcements, reports, surveys, product launches, Investor conferences, etc.)
  • Manage logistics for media interviews and handle audit and other compliance inquiries for pre-approvals, disclosures and logging of public appearances
  • Review and approve all external public speaking engagements (conferences, panel discussions, etc.)
  • Collaborate across the CIB Marketing & Communications organization on executive communications, social media, content development and marketing to amplify business initiatives
  • Assist in creating clip reports for the broader media relations team and gather feedback and metrics on communications
  • Identify opportunities to modernize communications metrics to track and measure impact and efficiency (e.g., through media monitoring tools and reporter databases)
  • Support the Marketing team on ESG campaigns


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in external communications
  • BA in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing preferred
  • Understanding of the financial services industry
  • Expertise in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Expertise in TV Eyes, Factiva, Gorkana, Business Wire and Bloomberg terminal required
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to make good judgment calls
  • Ability to work independently to execute on projects while taking direction from multiple managers
  • Commitment to maintaining the firm's high standards related to risk, compliance and the Code of Conduct
