We are currently searching for an Offline Marketing Manager, US based in New York City. A successful candidate will have the potential to become Head of Acquisitions, which will take on governance of acquisitions via online channels. The team that runs online marketing is based in Berlin and will continue to execute against the online acquisition targets. This role will allow the right candidate to own and grow offline marketing to expand the US business. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Bring together your flair for consumer communications and creative strategy with experience in performance marketing to deliver tangible incremental growth for the business
  • Own all Offline Marketing activities (such as TV, OOH, radio, newspaper and direct mail) in the US, by planning, delivering and optimizing customer acquisition for our two U.S. brands: Martha & Marley Spoon and Dinnerly
    • Independently plan, negotiate and execute campaigns with vendors
    • Work with the Online Marketing Manager based in Berlin to jointly plan, track and deliver U.S. acquisition targets
  • Test, learn, iterate and scale by driving continous improvement in efficiency and ROI, factoring in interaction with activities and on owned, earned and paid channels
    • Measure, report and optimize performance weekly of all activities
    • Build structured reports on Excel and Google Sheets that reflect key KPIs of individual channels
    • Use different tracking methodologies to understand the impact of activities
    • Manage the offline acquisition budget to maximize incremental growth. Work with stakeholders to ensure tagging and tracking implementation.
  • Work in our office in New York City and maintain strong lines of communication with our offices in Germany and Australia.

 General Requirements

  • Highly organized, thinks and works fast, can execute complex tasks with minimal oversight

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite
  • Strong communication skills - ability to work with different teams, personalities and cultures
  • Passion for food

Requirements specific to this role

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in US offline marketing, including direct response, preferably in the e-commerce space and/or at a media agency
  • Excellent knowledge of the US offline market and relevant vendors, including a strong professional network amongst U.S. media agencies
  • Strong skills in campaign planning, buying and delivery
  • Experience in performance marketing with a focus on customer acquisition
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving capability and consider yourself a Performance Marketer
  • Experience leveraging data and consumer insights to better inform campaign planning and audience targeting
  • Enjoy the creative process - you’ll be working in constant collaboration with brand management, design, and content managers.
  • Ability to brief and evaluate creative to optimize for marketing channel

Preferred skills

  • Understanding of online marketing, including online display ads, SEM and SEO
  • Experience using Google Analytics and other analytics tools
  • Start-up experience
  • Experience in foods industry
