StartUp Health is hiring an Online Community & Social Media Manager who will be focused on growing and increasing the engagement of our already robust online community that currently reaches a global network of 200,000+ entrepreneurs, investors, and healthcare leaders. The role will focus on storytelling and engagement via traditional social media platforms and StartUp Health HQ, our digital community platform that extends the StartUp Health experience online, 365 days a year. This new position reports to the Director of StartUp Health Media.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to define an ongoing, relevant online community strategy for social media and StartUp Health HQ, and execute on strategies to greatly increase content and engagement across all user groups
• Leverage StartUp Health brand voice, messaging and positioning across all social media platforms, online community network, and newsletters
• Prepare and promote daily eye-catching content and campaigns, as well as handle direct interactions with our audience
• Develop promotion plans to exponentially increase engagement of community membners
• Lead all aspects of the StartUp Health HQ platform, including content organization (Q&A, coaching modules, resources, etc), new community tools and features, community guidelines and policies
• Use analytics, SEO, and social publishing tools to better promote content and grow community engagement by Health Transformers and industry stakeholders

Our Ideal Candidate:

• 4+ years experience managing and growing online communities; focus on entrepreneurship, startups or digital health a plus
• Experience working with social media and visual content creation—including blog posts, articles, social quote cards, images, and short videos
• Deep understanding of major social media channels and the unique audience habits of each: including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of metrics related to community management and content marketing performance
• Experienced project manager with the ability to manage timelines and balance multiple priorities
• Self-starter with a 'make stuff happen' mentality and be comfortable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
