Overview

We are looking for a passionate Product Marketing Associate to join the Marketing team at our New York headquarters. This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, and will support our Product Marketing Manager with content creation, positioning, messaging, sales materials, competitive intelligence, the launch management process, and customer communications. The Product Marketing Associate should be excited to tell the story of our innovative and industry-leading products to our target market.

Key Skills

  • Collaboration skills: As our Product Marketing Associate you will be working with cross functional teams (product management, sales, and others). Collaboration is key!
  • Communication skills: The ideal candidate will be able to explain complicated products and features in a concise manner in writing, stressing value propositions. Additionally, this role can be customer-facing at times, so verbal communication skills are also vital.
  • Research skills: Competitive intelligence is a big part of the job; therefore, gaining insight into competitor’s offerings and the market is crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert for your area(s) of the product suite
  • Communicate to the market in the clearest possible way
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates us in the market
  • Dive deep into our competitors’ offerings to educate our sales teams and position us to win
  • Enable Sales to communicate the value proposition of our products
  • Develop Sales tools that support the selling motion of our products and the length of our sales cycle
  • Help shape the product roadmap
  • Help plan and execute product releases
  • Generate content for demand generation activities, including content assets (blog posts, ebooks, etc.)
  • Create and improve presentations
  • Help drive coordinated and integrated go-to-market planning and activities
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Sales & Marketing alignment
  • Bring creative thinking to marketing campaign planning

Requirements

  • BA/BS in marketing or a relevant field
  • 1+ years of experience in marketing a B2B SaaS product to global enterprises who have longer sales cycles and multiple influencers
  • 1+ years of experience in marketing technology space, social software preferred
  • Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills, with an ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and simple way
  • Ability to create web content assets, presentations, and other materials tailored for multiple personas
  • Time management and project management skills to hit product release and campaign deadlines
  • Easily able to shift gears between thinking and doing
  • WordPress experience a plus
  • Enjoys and thrives in a startup culture with no politics, yet can navigate a larger company
  • Occasional travel to other Synthesio offices (quarterly at most)
