The Role

Addepar is seeking a highly motivated Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about building financial product marketing programs, educational content, and client engagement strategies in an exciting and fast growing WealthTech market. By working closely with the Marketplace product management and client specialist teams, you’ll develop a deep understanding of our clients, our industry, and our suite of investment products and solutions, and use this knowledge to help drive participation and transactions in Marketplace.  

Our Insights team 

Addepar has the potential to make investing in private assets more transparent, more efficient, and more ethical.  Addepar’s newest business, Marketplace, provides a set of tools that help our clients make better investment decisions, as well as an order management and execution platform for access to a wide range of investment products, including cash management, hedge funds and private equity, and co-invests and secondary transactions in private securities and LP interests. This is an exciting new initiative for Addepar with high growth potential that is still in the early stages of development, and there is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to join a new, highly visible team at the ground level.

The Marketplace team is a vertically integrated group that includes a cross-section of product, marketing, sales, data, design, operations, compliance and engineering - giving members a unique perspective that demonstrates how their work directly links to the broader business. In many ways, our group operates much like a startup within a growth company, providing its members with the stability and business relations of the larger Addepar organization, while allowing the group to operate in a tightly integrated and demanding context, as we continue to build out our new line of business and product offerings.

What You’ll Do

Working directly with the product team, you will help to drive new product launches and campaigns, webinars and client engagement events, and create educational content supporting investment products and strategies.  In this role you will also help drive strategic efforts including gaining a better understanding of our clients through distinct marketing approaches to clients segment, and specific  segment as well as our current (and future) competitors, driving new product launches and supporting go-to-market efforts. 

You’ll have an ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits customers can digest is critical, as well as an ability to think strategically about Addepar product and services positioning.

  • Identify industry, market, and customer needs and opportunities, ensuring a clear and differentiated positioning for Addepar Marketplace products
  • Working with Insights Product team to drive content creation around financial products, educational concept and strategic Marketplace platform enhancements
  • Working with Insights client specialists to interpret and anticipate end client product and service needs across distinct client seg, and responding with sales, marketing and education content to engagement and transactional activity.
  • velop best practices and playbooks for our target our key market segments and position products to our existing clients
  • Communicate the value proposition of Addepar’s solutions, integrations and services offerings to customer facing teams 
  • Ensure content (e.g. case studies, sales enablement materials, product videos, web copy, competitive differentiation, white papers) communicates the unique capabilities of our platform in customer language.
  • Assist members of customer facing teams with calls to prospects and existing customers
  • Become an expert on our product and services and find creative ways to help expand and grow our revenue within our existing customers

Who You Are

  • 4+ years in a product marketing role at a technology company in a product marketing and/or product management role. Startup experience a plus, by not required
  • Experience marketing financial, institutional and banking products preferred
  • Ideal candidate has 2-3 years of GTM planning and execution experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, engineering, design and marketing operations teams 
  • Proven track record of positioning products effectively to different external and internal audiences
  • Ability to surface, analyze, and present data related to team and department efforts
  • Ability to operate independently and make decisions and work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Tech stack experience with tools such as G-Suite, Looker, Showpad, Marketo, Salesforce and other CRM and Martech tools
  • Bachelors in business, marketing, or related industry experience
