If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, let’s talk. Zola is in search of a new PR and Events Coordinator to grow our brand presence in media and events. This role will report into the PR and Events manager on the brand marketing team.

We want a person who is first and foremost an excellent communicator in person, in writing, and over the phone (yes, the phone!). The ideal candidate reads up on the latest lifestyle trends, rising companies, and who’s speaking at what conference and when. They should be fearless, able to pitch anyone on any topic at a moment’s notice, and highly organized (you’ve never met a spreadsheet you didn’t love or a to-do list you didn’t enjoy crossing off). This role requires someone with ample energy, who thrives on creating relationships, and is able to wear multiple hats in order to achieve the brand goals.

This person will implement a robust PR strategy in order to develop greater brand awareness and positive consumer sentiment for Zola. Tasks include but are not limited to: media and blogger outreach, press monitoring, vendor/sample/partner coordination, staffing events and conferences, communications strategy (with an eye for SEO-boosting results), and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Work with PR and Events manager on strategy
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of media relationships
  • Ongoing media outreach
  • Event and sample coordination and logistics
  • Executive prep and coordination for speaking events
  • Sample coordination and logistics
  • Work cross-functionally on internal and external communications
  • Daily monitoring and responses to press
  • Analyze and report about media activity

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of related experience in PR (agency experience a plus)
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of media landscape across broadcast, print, online
  • Experience conducting surveys and working with data
  • Out-of-the-box thinking and tons of creative ideas
  • Strong project management skills focused on organization, time management, and planning
  • Excellent communications skills, written and oral
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well under ambiguous conditions
  • Willingness to work on days and times outside the normal work week as needed
  • Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond the stated duties
  • High-energy, positive person who wants to make a difference in a growing organization
