The Marketing Team is looking for a self-starting Public Relations Manager who loves storytelling to join our NYC-based team. You will be responsible for supporting the PR function by driving awareness and credibility on Freshly in press. You’ll help position our leaders as industry experts and Freshly as an innovative company in the health and wellness space. You’ll support on creative marketing initiatives as well (Experiential! Content! Press Events! Partnerships!). The list goes on and on. This position reports into our Director of Communications.

What You’ll Do:

• Work collaboratively with the Director of Communications to activate against our PR strategy to increase brand awareness, affinity, and elevation
• Proactively pitch and develop stories on Freshly in consumer, food, business, and trade publications
• Assist with day-to-day activities such as media monitoring, opportunity tracking, PR calendars, etc. 
• Develop reporting cadence to ensure we’re meeting goals and sharing insights across the organization
• Proactively identify & vet key speaking engagements, award submissions & media opportunities that amplify Freshly and align with the brand direction
• Ideate, execute, and support on consumer and press events
• Assist on company news and business announcements
• Foster current relationships with media and build new relationships with key writers, editors, and producers
• Help on-board a partnering PR agency to assist with press outreach and opportunities

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s from an accredited university
• 4+ of years of experience in public relations, in-house or agency
• Experience working in or personal passion for health, wellness, and/or food 
• Have a competency in working on integrated communications with a digital first approach
• Proven track record of pitching and landing press coverage
• Collaborative team player who’s ambitious and results oriented individual 
• A creative thinker who comes to the table with ideas and can bring them to life
• A positive, social people-person; you can work with many different types of people and may have been pegged as someone who can “talk to a wall”
• Have your finger on the pulse of what’s trending or going on in relevant industries
