Birchbox is looking for an Associate / Paid Social Media with 2+ years of experience in Paid Social planning and execution to join our Performance Marketing Team. This multifaceted position will focus on reaching and engaging consumers in the Birchbox brand experience across existing and emerging Paid Social Media channels through strategic and tactical duties.

You will report to the Manager, Paid Social Media and be on the Performance Marketing team.

The ideal candidate is

  • Curious, precise, digitally savvy and passionate about nurturing, improving and growing Birchbox’s Paid Social Media footprint as a part of the larger Performance Marketing efforts
  • Is proactive and adaptable; interested in growing as part of the larger Performance Marketing / Birchbox team
  • Passionate for the role that Paid Social Media can play in overall Marketing strategy
  • Has foundational writing skills
  • Takes initiative to learn advanced work
  • Supports broader team efforts on initiatives
  • Proactively brings forth ideas related to innovation or efficiency within function
  • Serves as a peer to peer resource for new Associates within function

Core Responsibilities

  • Supports Manager and internal teams from ideation to execution for Paid Social Media; optimizes existing programs
    • Owns QA of live Paid Social Media ads, with support of manager
    • Assists internal teams to strategize Paid Social Media alignment with our marketing calendar; contribute to briefs (in support of task owners)
    • Contributes perspective on the formats / specs across Paid Social Media channels that should be part of each campaign / program
  • Support smart reporting and data-driven decision making in partnership with Finance, Planning & Analytics
    • Assist with reporting and special project needs on an ad hoc basis
    • Assist in budget tracking, invoicing and media allocation; collaborates with Manager
    • Be a valuable and collaborative member of the overall Marketing team
    • Collaborate with Social/Content team and Creative team to ensure they are educated about Paid Social Media best practices
    • Play a role in developing cross team relationships and external partners
    • Collaborates and contributes innovative ideas to the broader team efforts
    • Collaborates and contributes to team strategic planning process
    • Keeps abreast on news and trends related to function

Core Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in paid social or digital marketing. Agency background preferred
  • Understanding of social platforms, audiences, paid tactics and digital trends
  • Understanding of both direct and brand marketing principles and strategies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team and peers across Birchbox
  • Independent yet communicative and team-oriented
