Senior Communications Associate

The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.
We’re looking for a Communications Senior Associate to join our Communications Team!
What you'll do:
Help manage proactive communications strategy for our Maps and Messaging efforts that amplify Snap’s value and build upon our reputation for innovation.
Support product teams including Snap Map, and Messaging creative tools.
Serve as a spokesperson for the media across verticals including tech, mainstream, and consumer press.
Pitch news stories, organize press briefings and demonstrations, create press materials, and prepare spokespeople for media interviews and speaking engagements.
Develop product launch messaging, proactive pitches, and thought leadership narratives for teams across the company.
Collaborate closely with cross functional partners (product, design, marketing, content, and legal) on coordinated campaigns, events, and product launches.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent relationships with reporters across technology, mainstream, and consumer beats.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and manage a wide variety of partners.
A strong verbal communicator with superb written skills and fastidious attention to detail.
Passionate about Snapchat’s role in the communication space and for supporting friendships.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
4+ years of professional experience working in a product communications role or related field
