We’re looking for a Senior Director of Global Communications to join our growing Corporate Communications team. In this role, you’ll work across the company and with global communications agencies to scale our owned and earned media programs. You’ll bring a deep understanding and proven track record in developing and delivering consistent, targeted, and impactful messages to generate awareness and build Procore’s reputation as a global market and thought leader. You demonstrate creativity, initiative, passion, and excellent interpersonal skills. You’ll provide leadership to other members of the Communications team who help drive the day-to-day execution of the external communications plan. This role reports to our Vice President of Corporate Communications and can be based in our US or Canada offices or remotely within these regions. Occasional travel will be required. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you’ll do:
Drive external communications via media relations, owned media, awards, speaking opportunities, etc.
Collaborate with customers, partners, thought leaders, and internal stakeholders to craft narratives that resonate with influencers
Develop, manage and maintain strong relationships with key journalists
Proactively develop creative pitches and opportunities around customer stories and industry thought leadership
Lead a team of inhouse communicators and communications agencies
Help ensure communications activities are globally-minded, keep our customers front of mind, and are consistent with Procore’s values and brand
Map out and oversee the external global PR editorial and media calendar
Act as a liaison and trusted advisor to the Marketing Leadership Team
Set the strategy and adoption for new communications tools and technology
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing or equivalent work experience required
12+ years of experience in global B2B SaaS communications
Excellent verbal and written communications, and interpersonal skills with the ability to distill complex information into a logical narrative format and write for impact
Innovative, scrappy, and take pride in your ability to turn ideas into reality
Ask clarifying questions and provide authoritative advice to decision-makers
Handle assignments with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, agile environment
Calm and collected under pressure and in situations that require timely discretion
Ability to take ownership and build strong relationships
Creative, curious, and driven to learn our business, dive into our culture, and develop communications campaigns that reflect who we are as a company
Mentor and lead others on the Communication Team
