What we are looking for: 

As Alt’s first Growth Marketing hire, you will help grow our two-sided marketplace by acquiring, activating, and retaining new users through innovative growth hacking. In this role, you will immediately see the impact of your work and advance our goal to be the financial institution for alternative assets.

We are looking for a growth-focused and data-driven leader to ensure that Alt’s online brand presence efficiently feeds the top of our marketing funnel across all our audiences. This key hire will be at the forefront of implementing innovative growth strategies and tactics to drive meaningful growth for Alt through organic and paid initiatives. This role will report directly to the President of Alt. 

The impact you will make:

  • Build (from scratch) and be responsible for our growth and marketing programs, technology, process, tactics, and strategies  
  • Use out of the box thinking to grow Alt’s business and new user acquisition
  • Follow startup principles to test, analyze, optimize, and scale strategies and growth efforts 
  • Understand the full funnel, different marketing touchpoints, key messaging & value propositions, and customer audiences to pull together the most impactful strategies
  • Partner closely with the Head of Brand Marketing and the Product Marketing Manager to optimize the entire conversion funnel and continuously experiment with strategies to drive incremental pipeline
  • Be a business owner for your channels: manage budgets and forecasts, measure performance, and drive results. 
  • Dig through usage analytics and make data driven decisions. 
  • Be accountable for all aspects of growth including: user acquisition, traffic, cost/install, cost/visit, cost/reg, CAC, LTV/CAC, etc…
  • Build and communicate regular metrics/reporting, with an emphasis on areas of opportunity
  • Work closely with the product marketing manager to identify the most important Alt product features to highlight 
  • Responsible for Paid/ Performance marketing: SEM, Affiliate, App store optimization, Media strategy and Paid Social
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to drive user acquisition and growth
  • Responsible for Organic Growth including community & SEO
  • Manage and develop direct reports who support growth
  • Develop relationships with other Marketing and Creative  heads

What you bring to the table:

  • 7+ years experience with deep expertise in user acquisition, product-led SEO, and paid performance marketing (SEM, affiliates, app store optimization, paid social, etc)
  • You have digital marketing experience leading campaigns across multiple channels, focused on acquisition, growth, and/or retention.
  • You have led a growth marketing strategy and been responsible for financial modeling around customer acquisition costs, customer lifetime value, etc. 
  • Deep understanding of customer journey mapping, attribution & optimization, and A/B testing
  • Experience with Google Analytics, AdWords, and SEO tactics
  • Familiar with marketing automation software (i.e. HubSpot, Marketo, Tableau)
  • You are analytical, strategic and creative, and are comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment
  • You can solve problems with an orientation toward hypotheses and insights; you believe everything can and should be measured and evaluated for impact and scaling potential
  • Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail 
  •  You are a strong communicator and enjoy working cross-functionally.
