Bizzabo is looking for a talented Sr. Field Marketing Manager to build out a NEW global program from the ground up. This is an excellent opportunity to make an impact at the most exciting event (and rapidly growing) technology company on the planet!

You will develop ambitious marketing plans and own a comprehensive portfolio of events, including tradeshows, industry conferences, roundtables, regional user groups, partner events, and more. This role will partner deeply with cross functional leaders (revenue marketing, sales, etc.) to execute demand campaigns with a special emphasis on generating qualified leads and accelerating existing opportunities in the sales pipeline.

The position is a full-time remote role. You will report to the VP of Global Events and be tasked to establish team procedures, own an annual events calendar, manage vendors/budgets, design highly personalized attendee experiences, support on-site execution, and deliver detailed program briefs. As part of the Events Team, you will also be responsible for sharing best practices and industry insights with over 300,000 #eventprofs worldwide who are following Bizzabo.

What you'll be doing:

  • Foster a cohesive, organized, productive, and positive environment within a growing team
  • Build and execute an integrated field marketing program that spans physical and digital channels
  • Develop regional account-based experience (ABX) programs in partnership with revenue marketing
  • Understand sales territory needs and map localized programs to segments: Enterprise, agency, etc.
  • Research industry events and evaluate sponsorship opportunities based on business priorities and target audience
  • Define event success criteria, including OKRs, communication channels, and KPIs with dashboards
  • Set and manage project scopes including goal setting, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and quality assurance
  • Support all phases of design, planning and execution of all sponsored programs (virtual, hybrid, etc.)
  • Manage all aspects of events, including production, décor, housing, staffing, speakers, giveaways, signage, etc.
  • Get excited by creating never been done / highly personalized experiences that surpass attendee expectations
  • Source, evaluate, onboard, and oversee external agencies (e.g., tech, A/V) and freelancers
  • Monitor event spend, including the creation of purchase orders, invoice management, and payment processing
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success to create custom field campaigns that increase awareness, generate leads, speed accounts through the sales cycle, and drive customer engagement
  • Implement internal third-party event referral intake process and evaluation procedures
  • Identify and document project risks and dependencies, establish pipeline contingency plans to help close gaps
  • Track results of all event campaign activity and conduct post event/campaign evaluations and ROI analysis
  • Create pre-event briefs and post event recap reports
  • Proactively come to the table with recommendations for optimizing future campaigns (planning, KPIs, budget, ROI)
  • Feed competitive information, local developments, and content requirements back to marketing
  • Become a Bizzabo product expert – registration, mobile app, community, and communications through platform
  • Run efficient, effective, and well-organized meetings
  • Recruit, train and retain 1 direct report responsible for assigned geographic and/or vertical territories
  • Post-pandemic: 20% – 25% travel required
  • Assume additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth of the team

  • Be the voice of the field: Act as a subject matter expert and brand ambassador
  • Provide strategic direction and implement process improvements that reflect event industry best practices
  • Support the product to improve features and build the future roadmap through thoughtful feedback
  • Work with enablement to educate employees on industry benchmarks, B2B trends, event manager challenges, etc.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum 6+ years of field marketing experience, preferably for a B2B technology company
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • International experience: Accustomed to work in a global team across multiple time zones
  • Highly organized self-starter who can think strategically and work autonomously under their own initiative
  • Experience creating and executing programs that increase brand awareness and drive customer engagement
  • Track record negotiating and building strategic partnerships with outside vendors
  • Action oriented who delivers quality work within budget parameters
  • Superhuman project, expense, and time management skills
  • Consistent ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects while keeping priorities in the proper order
  • Knowledge of event analytics, audience development, and the ability to learn from data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly collaborative, detailed-oriented, well organized, energetic and results driven
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, shifting priorities and the occasional abrupt change
  • Willingness to have fun, laugh, and be part of a great team invested in collective success
  • Ability to invest long hours (during event seasons), go ‘above and beyond’ and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on booth set-up and breakdown, with ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
