Senior Manager, Marketing Operations
The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations will play a critical role in IAS’s growth strategy. You are a collaborative leader with a proven track record using data, technology, and process to make decisions and drive business growth. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our world-class marketing team has access to the right tools and technology, appropriate resources and budget, as well as clear processes and procedures to hit our company targets.
You will partner closely with functional leaders in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Finance, and IT to support the company’s aggressive growth plan. You will oversee projects that require cross-functional collaboration which include managing the evolution of our marketing technology stack, business processes, program execution, database segmentation, as well as campaign analytics. You are a strategic thinker with an eye for detail; you are also fully capable of executing programs yourself. You use data to make decisions and have the business acumen to translate these decisions into action plans that ultimately fuel sales growth.
IAS’s headquarters are located in NYC with offices in 20+ locations around the world, including London, Paris, Berlin, Singapore, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the Marketing Technology function’s vision, strategy, tools and systems that enables intelligent decisions using data to accelerate new business acquisition & pipeline growth and improve team performance
- Own the marketing technology and operational roadmap, ensuring new technology is evaluated, selected, implemented and customized to meet the needs of a high-growth global marketing department
- Deliver effective change management and communications for technology implementation, data policy and process re-engineering within marketing
- Drive standard cadence of operational meetings to share insights on marketing performance and to maintain alignment, transparency, and accountability across a variety of key business stakeholders
- Continuously work to simplify systems and processes, avoiding over-engineered processes, while creating and maintaining documentation
- Administer IAS’s Marketo instance partnering with other Marketing team members, Business Operations, Finance, IT and Sales to align on structure, create process, establish documentation, and ensure operational efficiency that will enable IAS for global scale
- Monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing database, ensuring accuracy and minimizing bad or incomplete data
- Partner with core marketing and sales team to refine and improve Demand Waterfall processes and metrics using data insights and feedback (e.g. lead scoring, service-level agreements, workflows, lead sourced/influenced ratios)
- Collaborate with the product marketing, communications, and demand generation teams to optimize systems and create processes that will help drive strategies and solutions for improving campaign performance
- Build and maintain standardized business dashboards, providing insights and focus across key revenue engine performance indicators related to programs, reach, conversion, velocity, value, and return of activities and investments
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in a Marketing role in digital media/ad tech, with 3+ years serving as the primary marketing automation platform admin
- 2+ years management experience
- Experience building out global marketing operations best practices and teams, with a deep understanding of marketing technology
- Extensive experience with Salesforce.com and Marketo
- Deep understanding of how to optimize the infrastructure, workflows, and analytics
- Experience working closely with senior executives to tackle challenging business problems; Ability to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership
- Demonstrated experience designing an innovative marketing technology stack
- Experience owning and developing marketing dashboards, taking action based on it, and explaining takeaways (including corrective action)
- Tableau / PowerBi experience preferred
- HTML, CSS and relevant development expertise preferred
