We’re looking for an exceptionally talented digital marketer with hands-on experience managing and scaling performance marketing channels. You will be responsible for achieving Skillshare’s paid growth goals in paid search, paid social, and display along with managing the resources needed to do so.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in several paid channels and has had success building up new ones for businesses. He/she knows how to scale paid programs and support goals through holistic improvements. This is a great opportunity to manage a multi-million dollar budget across several channels at a high growth company in the exciting online learning space.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and deploy the paid media budget to acquire new members and increase new sales. Balance multiple performance goals, like top line growth, CAC, ROAS, and LTV.
  • Lead day-to-day management of in-house channel managers and outside agencies, vendors, and software providers to achieve growth goals. Hands-on platform administration and optimization as-needed.
  • Develop operations to continuously improve performance. In addition to campaign and bid optimizations, you’ll develop better systems for reporting, monitoring, attribution, promotions, and creative testing. 
  • Work closely with the Data Team to prioritize performance marketing needs. Collaborate on test design, data collection, and marketing models for better visibility on channel and campaign contributions.
  • Collaborate and support cross functional teams in their growth efforts, which include international expansion, site conversion tests, brand awareness campaigns, B2B sales, and a teacher marketplace.

  • You have 7+ years of hands-on experience managing multi-million dollar paid acquisition programs. 2+ years managing and leading a direct team.
  • You have a strong sense of ownership and accountability for results. You balance planning and preparation with action. You do what you say.
  • You’re analytical and curious. You proactively ask questions and seek answers related to channel performance and optimization. You’re good with spreadsheets and data sets. Ideally, you use other tools like SQL, statistics, and programming to do analysis.
  • You have a proven ability to develop people and resources to achieve big goals. But, you’re also willing to be hands on when needed.
  • You are both process and scale oriented, seeking to build a marketing program that’s bigger than the sum of its parts.
  • You’re an excellent communicator, engaging and sharing with people outside your team.
